Absolutely incredible cover of a very difficult song!
When Boston did this song live, Brad would intro with a tambourine and then put it down for the rest of the song.
At the '97 Red Rocks concert, I brought my own tambourine and when they played this song, I played along with them at my seat in front. I had practiced for weeks, and I nailed it. When the song was over, all the people around me thanked me profusely, my volume and detail were perfect. WTG guys! You know what it means to cover!
Great performance and vocals. Just two quibbles....that might be one of the most distinctive opening riffs in terms of guitar tone....the original relied on a 'parked' wah pedal but the same effect can be obtained easily by using a Q Zone or similar pedal to get that throaty, choked sound. And what guitarist doesn't own a flanger? It seems to be omitted from the solo guitar riff in the middle.
I'm a die hard Boston fan that usually can't stomach cover bands of any kind, but you guys are absolutely phenomenal! The appearance, the guitar licks, the clothes, even your drummer has the giant orb head and gotee like Sib Hashian, and he doesn't miss a freaking note anywhere! You guys sound more like Boston than Boston does these days! Great job!
I saw these guys in Flagstaff Az Feb 6th and, the band was awesome but, they only sounded as good as their lame ass soundman allowed them!. The band played their asses off and the soundman was asleep at the wheel BIGTIME!! On Smokin` you could NOT hear the infamous Boston keyboards ( what a shame ) and, the sound was full of bass and just drowned EVERYTHING!! I even tried to make a suggestion to the dumbass attemping to run the soundboard but, his ego was too big to take my advice,Fire that guy!
WOW! I am impressed. Diehard Boston Fan over 30 years. They are my favorite and I've seen them over 10 times. Best cover band I seen online yet. Lead does look a lot like Brad and has some of his same mannerisms. Even the guy on the guitar with long straight hair reminded me of Tom when they were starting out. Where are they from?
These guys seem passionate about covering Boston and do a great job.I think they"re better than what's left of the current Boston ban that tours.Heck the lead singer does a better job than the guy from Office depot or Subway or wherever he's from.that goes through the motions for Boston.
Not tough to do live if you have 7 guys(sequencer optional). Keyboardist or lead singer or 3rd guitarist (far left) would need to take an acoustic once in a while. Don't know about these guys, never heard them do Hitch a Ride or Peace of Mind..
Damn!! The lead singer could pull an Arnel Pineida from Juorney and get recruited to sing lead for Boston. Freakin' amazing...not just the singer but all of em'.
I'm in agreement with everybody else. No point in attacking because it's hard as hell to play live and you guys pulled it off. Gutsy and not bad at all. You guys have a lot of heart.
Agreed. It is hard as hell to match the arrangements and nuances of Boston. About 5 years ago, my 70s cover band decided it would be a bright idea to play the entire 1st Boston lp in its entirety. We pulled it off, but not without a great deal of pain.
Gosh. Great Video. Thanks. I thought Tommy De Carlo sounded a lot like Brad. This guy sounds as much as De Carlo and maybe even more. The whole band sound a lot like BOSTON. Better than other tribute band I saw online. Check out latest concert videos last week of Boston in CA on my site.
Incredible job!

Wow!!! These guys really get it!!! It's rare that a band can cover such a famous tune as well as the original artist. Nice work!!!

Nice!!! If you want to make the guitarist look more like Scholz, just put him in a Big Bird costume....
Lose the little arpeggio out of the first solo though.....

Not too many bands can do this song as a cover.
