@XxFaerieHeartxX ~ LOL well that'll do it..they should NEVER be stuck in a cage all day..get him out every day and let him hang out with you..do that, meet his needs (lots of fun and stimulating toys and treats, and healthy food), and he will start warming up to you..then you can start training/taming him:)

when i still had sunshine he would do the same thing except for clapping i used my finger to signal him to bob his head up n down and i also taught him how to lift one foot off the air and whistle a hello. Gosh i miss him!

Anyway, to the owner of this cockatiel: you can't play-punch with a bird like you can with a dog, the bird thinks it is being attacked and is clearly in defense mode. Your cockatiel is definitely adorable and a great whistler, but I hope you are nicer to him off-camera. lol

Maybe if u had it from when it was a baby it should be used to u so it wouldnt be that shy, did u neglect it at all that may be the reason. u can still try and tame him just keep sticking your hand in his cage and try get as close to him as possible and soon enough he'll let you pet him!!

I dont own a cockatiel, but I do have parakeets. Find out what your birds favorite treat is, (mine love millet spray)put the treat in your hand, and slowly try to get your bird to eat out of it. That is the start. Then, just work with him to let you touch his toes, his tummy, and he will soon get on your hand, even if it is just for a second. It may take alot of time, do it everyday and your bird will soon sit on your hand w/out being coaxed with food. Move very slowly, so you dont scare him.

I have had a cockatail for over ten years. The bird in the video is no way pissed off. If a cockatail is pissed, it will bite hard. This is a well loved bird, enjoying him self. Good owner. My bird is same colour.

Piss off bird doesn't look like that at all. Feathers would be fluffy if pissed off. My CAG told me enough when he is pissed at me for ignoring him. LOL No...this bird isn't pissed off at all. The bird is displaying as he played. My CAG does that too when playing.

I don't know why people are saying that this bird is pissed off, it looks very happy to me; and it seems to enjoy playing those games with its owner. After all if it didn't want to play it would either bite or simply fly away, and birds from the parrot family are easy to anger (I should know lol).
