  • are you tryin to ask her out electronically bud?

  • hahahahahaha that made me laugh

  • You don't make any sense either girl, the "arm" doesn't "grab" on the HDD. That "arm" is called an "actuator" and is not grabbing on anything (maybe your ass:D), in fact that "arm" of yours is not even touching the disks but floats above them, the information is being written and read MAGNETIC not like on a pickup where you have to scratch the plate:))) If don't know a thing then don't embarrass yourself, for the sake of the science, please!

  • what a complete class act you are. my computer crashes three times i do a video, you say i am not tech savy and then you threaten me "to insult you in a terrible way." what a nice guy! the next time your computer breaks, and the company refuses to honor your warrenty! keep your rude comments to yourself!

    and leave my page!

  • I guess he's just jealous that you're hot and he's not....j/k ......breathe people breathe!!!!!

  • you really arent very tech savy are you

  • no i am tech savy, i fixed my self. no thanks to apple

  • they were going to fix your current one not put a new one in

  • no, they were going to replace the harddrive and then replace my sracthed cover. it was a rip off, you are sexiest because i am a woman you think i know nothing of computers. apple was the same, i have been building and fixing computers for a long while.

  • how am i sexist i have plenty of female frinds that love computers and know a lot about them. and dont insult me because i wasnt insulting you watch your video and you seem to not know a whole lot

  • and no i dont need you to teach me because i build and fix computers for myself friends and family please dont insult me because then i will insult you

fyi: i was thinking maybe you wanted to keep your data not loose it thats what the recovery was for

  • which is stupid. it was broken, i knew it they knew it.

reformatting it insulted me, and wasted my time because the hard drive was bad. do i need to teach you about what a hard drive is? you do not fix hard drives you replace them. data recovery is time consumming. but that is not what i needed. i did myself, bought the harddrive and all.

  • she has D.S.L.

  • That story just doesn't sound right at all. I've spent plenty of time at the Genius Bar in the Apple Store and I've never heard of anything like a $1,200 hard drive. Yes, it is expensive to have work done at the Apple Store, but not that damn expensive. Here's a tip: Buy the $88 hard drive and put it in yourself. It's not that hard to do. Don't expect me to believe that Apple would charge you $1,200 to do it.

  • You can ask mac about thier stages of repair. Mine was a stage 2.

    I do not lie.

Mac is a company like any other.

  • If you wanted to extract the data from the bad drive, it could be expensive, but just to replace it, no.

  • That is what they said. That it would cost that much to have it fixed. It has so do with levels of repair. Mine was a stage two. I am going to do it myself, because I surely can not reply on a corporation like Apple to help me.

  • your not going to fix the HDD your going to replace it its different (fix/replace) not the same thing

  • It is something about the levels of repair. Your devotion to a for profit corporation is a bit bizarre.

  • It's more of a devotion to the truth. I just can't, for the life of me, believe that it would cost that much to replace a hard drive. Now, repairing the hard drive is a different story. Which was it? Repairing a hard drive or extracting the data is very expensive. It's not an easy task. Simply replacing a hard drive is a simple job and would never cost that much.

  • A hard drive repair can cost up to $1,800. The very precise work must be done in a "clean room".

  • Again, the fact that you defend apple and attack my honesty says a lot about you.

I do not lie either, and I am not in the habit of calling other people lairs. Which you seem to do. Devotion to the truth? You seem to be devoted only to apple.

  • I asked you... Was the price for a repair of the damaged disk/recovery of the data OR for a replacement only? I said, it would make sense if it were a repair/recovery, as they can cost up to $1,800.

  • In all honesty I do not know. Apple did not explain what they would do to the hardrive. They said for me to be covered by applecare again I had to undergo a level two fix, which is 1100 bucks. You seem to be a mac expert maybe you can explain why mac, has these mysterious repair levels and does not really give the customer the option of fixing what they want fixed.

  • You took this machine to the Apple Store? Don't ever tell them you put the machine in the freezer. I'm sure that's a warranty voiding act right there. I would try again. Just tell them the hard drive failed. If they give you a hard time, call Apple Care and complain. If that doesn't work, call Customer Relations. Yes, all companies will try to avoid warranty repair.

  • I was on the phone for 2 hours just before this video.

  • With who? Is your machine not under warranty?

  • repareing delicate items is defenatly more expensive than replaceing them and it tottaly makes sense

sorry for commenting so many times lol

  • you are not tech savy. a harddrive is easy to replace, and being that it only cost 80 bucks it is an insult that apple reformatted it and did not give me the option to have it replaced. i did it myself and now my computer works great.

  • Yes $1000 is a lot of money for a hard disk. They don't cost no were near that much it's the way Apple do business trying to make a Quick Buck

Last thing. Your look Fantastic on cam so don't worry about how you look or what people say. You look Great :-)

  • Lol, $1000 for a new HDD. When you can buy a new 17" iMac for the same price :*)

  • $1200 damn thats a lot

    im shocked.. :-S

  • It is a lot that is why I look like a crazy person in the video!

I guess in apple they do levels of repairs, and the hard drive is a level one, but if it is the logic pro, it could be a level two. It is sorta like Scientology they give you levels and take your money. I am a farm girl so I like to know what is wrong, and a thousands bucks is a whole lot!

  • Did I hear you say $1200.. To fix a hard disk?

  • thanks:) it also makes me feel so much better to be explained what is wrong. thankfully my father was in town for bussiness, so I was able to get him to look at it.

  • woot! glad ya found something cheaper!
