ok i dont see the issue, you said it was sold to you as a creamsicle and that is what it looks like. I would assume that the breeder seller would know more then a pet store guy.
by the way a creamsicle is a amel"albino" cross between a corn snake and a emory ratsnake. for more on creamsicles or other hybrid snakes visit hybrid herps
I dont see any reason why some one would suggest it has any milksnake in it. And as cremsicles are corn x everglades originally there is no such thing as a pure cremsicle
the chances are he wont be pure. Most corns have some other rat snake species in their background. Cremsicles are of course hybrids anyway and they have been bred into the general corn population. On my screen it looks like an amelanistic corn i.e I can't see any black on it. if it has black scales it's a normal phase.
I usually don't... :( And you know it might not be their fault either, somebody might have been selling it like that at the "show" they say they bought it from too, trying to make an extra buck. Saying "rat snake" is very vague, there are so many different kinds... "red rat snake" is also just another name for corn snake too.
it looks as if it may be an amelanistic jungle cornsnake which is an amelanistic corn snake crossed with a california kingsnake. i don't have much expirience with jungles but it could be a possibility.
Looks like a little Amel/Albino Corn Snake to me! Do you have a clear shot picture? I'm from the Corn Snake List, saw the pictures there, but werent quite clear!!
what do u mean it will be deformed rat snakes and corn snake are close enough related to be interbread i have even heard that kingsnakes can be bread with them i am not saying ure wrong i too think its a corn snake

Nicholas - temperament is not an indication of species. All snakes are different, just like all people are.

I can happen, but hybridizing corns/milks happens a lot succesfully. Sinacorns are a very common hybridization. I know, I keep one :)
