  • Wow. I was just curious hoe people kill lobsters. I personally don't eat seafood. Why? Because I'm allergic too it. Why? I don't know. I just can't eat it. Again, just curious...

  • Good thing I dont eat lobsters

  • To make sure you get the brain you need to start at the low end of the shell that has the head and cut up towards the head. If you do that you will def get the brain. You may have gotten it that time as it could have been the relfexes of the Lobster made it move.

  • dude, i just want you to know this is one of the funniest youtube videos i've ever seen. your reactions are just priceless XD

    "Oh g-d, that's gross..."

"i -think- i did it right ...... aw shit....... well i dont know man. what the hell?"

"I swear to g-d thts wut it said on youtube. that does not look...... kosher."

    "hughh... freakin' a."

    HAHAHAHAH XD

  • @kingsalmon101 Yeah, i really didn't know what to do. That thing came back to life with a vengeance.

  • lol how was he still alive without a tail, claws, and a cut in half head? xD

  • @mysticwatercrystal when your feel pain, even for a nanosecond, your nerves instantly fire away in response to the pain. And that responses causes the muscles to move in response, weakening exponentially over time.

  • Dude, I just want to let you know that I've been searching for an accurate video of humanely killing a lobster. Couldn't find one, but I did find your video, which was so sad but I couldn't help but laugh. It was obvious you cared but were just uninformed. Since witnessing your error, I was able to find an accurate website that said you have to cut further back on the head. So in a way you saved the 4 lobsters we had to kill today. I say "we" because I couldn't do it. Cheers to your bravery!

  • That lobster was dead as soon as you made the first cut. You literally cut its brain in half and separated it. To the best of my knowledge nothing has a chance of living after that except maybe certain flat worms. Its just muscle spasms making it move. Good job.

  • I saw a quick knife kill here on YouTube. He made it look easy etc. The store I work at nukes them upside down in 18mins. After your video I think a microwave is better.

  • That damn Lobster didn't want to die! Looked like its tail wanted to get away towards the end.. lol

  • Uh.... damn.

  • Sick

  • MY GOD U SICK BASTARD!!!

  • Like if you think this is the best way to torture a lobster

  • The title is 'Lobster Kill' wow the name should be 'Lobster torture' :P lmao

  • RIP Dr. Zoidberg.

  • Don't worry, the lobster was dead when you cut it.

They continue to move because of spasmings.

  • You did it right after you stab it there's still some movement but it's dead

  • hey man, I think you did kill him, I dont think he felt any pain... its one of those weird things in Nature when animals still move after being killed.. Like a chicken.. When they cut the head off a chicken the body still runs around.. its weird...

But yeah I THINK you did it the right way..

  • Oh my god who cares it's just a lobster. Seriously fish, seafood, cattle, etc. were created to be killed. Sure it wasn't the best way but who cares.

  • that lobster was chuck norris' pet

  • Awesomely sick

  • Nah you did it good m8!

Once you sever its nervous system it cannot feel a thing an is a 100% brain dead.

The only reason why it keeps moving is because its nervous system is going haywire after dismembering it therefore it will keep on sending electrical impulses to the muscles thus producing motion.

Such motion may make you think that its still alive but its totally dead and not feeling a thing.

  • :(

  • big knife?!?!? thats fucking HUGE!!

  • That lobster was dead after the first cut. Those are involuntary reflexes, the fact that it moved so much just goes to show the freshness. Cheers.

  • hey a lobster's brain operates from 13 ganglia points, beginning behind the eyes and towards the tail...so u have to really cut it from the brain to the tail

cutting the lobster from that point only disables part of the lobster's brain.. just imagine if your brain extended from your head to your lower back....

  • he suffered you fuck you didnt do it right!

  • Grill this bitch loool

  • that maded me cry lol aww poor lobster :'(

  • XD holy shit ur dumbcome on xD after the first strike the bitch is dead xDDD

when killed he strats to move that is whats every f*king lobster will do

  • You did that right, the lobster was dead, they always move around a bit after death

  • Why did it sound like you were opening an old door when you put the blade in it's head? Anyways, nice attempt, I couldn't justify the effort for the meat though. Us humans are pretty fucked up. Favorite Food: Still pizza.

  • I don't want to tell you you did anything wrong because you did it somewhat right, but maybe you didn't cut it back far enough? Don't worry at all about people saying you caused it pain. Everything they eat was caused pain before it died...Unless they're vegans. Then they're trolling lobster vid's and not allowing society to progress because they're stopping windmils from being built because bats run into them and die...Anyways, I hope that tasted good for the work you put into that :D!

  • guys chill he was cold out, most of that was his nerve's going into shock

  • omg O.o poor lobster its still moving.. i imagine on how much pain it is in right now..

  • If that was the most humanely way possible, I don't want to see the other ways... Poor Lobster.

  • ahhhh man you sliced that poor fuckers head open!!!

  • "Awww fuck.. That's what it said on YouTube"!! Lmao!!!!

  • @Tkohh1 LMFAO

  • You totally did a great job! I love the language too. LMFAO!

  • DUDE you said its more humane way ? you splited his organs out from this body and he still moving wtf you did

  • Holy shit!!!!!!!!!

  • omg you tortured it! how could you?! lol just kidding. You did it the right way. So how did the dish turn out?

  • i feel so bad for the poor thing =(

i know its just used for food but it almost makes me cry =(

  • use a gun next time. doesnt matter how u kill it, as long as its dead its fine. just say sorry and thank you for your meat and then kill it

  • LOL!

That guy was like cussing you out so bad in his head.

Or should I say half a brain.

    x.x

  • DX Poor lobster QQ what did it ever do to you D: R.I.P lobster

  • hi, im a cook, i got a tip for you, if its for homecooking and u got time, place him with his head down on ur board, placing him verticly, then rub the back of ur knife on the head for like 1minute, u will see he will go unconsious, then u can cut him

  • @jimmyvantorre really? now I want to try this again! that sounds like a great idea. thanks.

  • Yeah that thing was totally dead from the start if its tail way still moving once you detached it

  • Who's Hungry?

  • ZOMBIE LOBSTER, THROW THAT THING ACROSS THE ROOM OR BLOW ITS BRAINS OUT

  • yeah that seems like the most humane way to kill it, I donot like doing that as it is bad presentation, yeah after you mashed out its brians its already dead, it jigs about.

  • dude was that your first time or something? once you split it's head it's dead. it still moves because of nerves. i'm pretty sure you would twitch for a good 5 minutes too if someone just split your head in half like that. chillax a little. doing it over isn't gonna help, once that knife split it's head, it's dead!

  • BRUTAL EXECUTION!!!! LMFAO XDDD

  • "prevents the lobster from feeling any pain... SO..."

    *grabs gigantic fucking knife*

  • u pig

  • Comment removed

  • LOL you're hilarious. "Shit! I swear to god that's what they said to do on youtube."

  • "what the hell? its still moving"

    lmao

  • I'm a vegetarian, but I used to kill crawdads to feed them to my turtles all the time. This was the same method I used for them- and I admit, the same thing occasionally happened to me, till I learned more. Start back farther, into the chest area of the lobster. I use a pocket knife, works great.

  • Wow...I don't think I could force myself to eat another lobster after seeing this.

I guess when it comes to food ignorance is bliss.

  • You did it right, it died instantly but the muscles are still going. Ive got to say though............. just throw it in the pan of water, it wont last long anyway.

  • lol i laughed when u said thats what they said to do on youtube

  • ohh man why would u make him suffer? if i were u i would go for a quick kill.

  • @liltwistah That's what I thought I was doing. Oops.

  • lol its dead, the nerves start to fire when it dies and it moves uncontrollably

  • It's still moving!! :O :(

  • and you really think this was not painful ?

  • lol

  • oh god... :(.............. i really dont know what to say after this, exept that i really hope the lobsters cant feel pain, because holy fuck, it was standing and crawling after you sliced its head open, i could never do that, then while it was alive you twisted its tail off, fuck. just fuck. :( god bless that lobster.

  • @maplestorym0bs It was an accident, and the jury is still out as to whether or not that was an involuntary reaction on behalf of the lobster. Lobsters, by the way, are essentially giant bugs, so don't feel too bad. It did taste good, I must admit.

  • @maplestorym0bs

Dead things move. It was dead the instant its head was split in two. It takes a minute for the involuntary muscle spasms to stop.

Don't feel too bad, it happens in dead humans too.

  • @maplestorym0bs If you knew any better, you'd know that it's already dead. The only reason why it's "moving" is because of the nerves in the arms and tail are trying to react.

  • You made it suffer worse you asshole

  • @maineman527 Read the description, broseph. That was not my intent. Quite the contrary. And, there is still some evidence to suggest that this reaction was purely involuntary; akin to a chicken's behavior after its head is cut off.

  • @maineman527 lol loll i read this after he split it open and i broke out laughing from u callin him a asshole lol got that was funny

  • shoulda boiled it

  • der lebt ja noch die ganze zeit das ist nicht sehr human .... da ist es noch humaner ihn in kochendes wasser zu werfen ...

  • hahahahha it was alive through the hole thing hahahahah

  • holy crap that freaked me out

  • what was the point in puttin up this video cos u didnt even do it right did u? its weird to film doin somethin like that aswell..... o.O

  • @michmellis The point was to show everyone how not to do it.

  • That Lobster was quite the warrior lol. Ive also heard that if you stick them in the freezer for two hours or so before putting them in the boiling water makes their death quicker and less painful.

  • how does it still move if u killed it?

  • @nerad1994

It's probably a nervous reaction. Much like cutting a chicken's head off and watching it run around the yard. Not that I've done that, I'm just saying.

  • Yeah it was a hell of a thing, man. It's been almost a year and I haven't had lobster since. Lol.

  • sounds like you're opening a plastic container

  • MURDERER

  • Is it wrong that this turned me on?

  • actually, it probably was accidental, but next time go farther back on the head

  • involuntary muscle or not i dont think i can eat lobster any more... lol i think this did it for me never again

  • Sorry I ruined lobster for you. Come to think of it, I haven't had lobster since. Lol.

  • Dude, WTF! I just bought 2 big ass lobsters and looking for instructions...not these.

  • Hey man, half the comments on this page say I did it right and that was all involuntary muscle movement, so...

  • oh my god what's with all the pissing round when it was obvious it hadn't worked first time? kill the damn thing, it's in pain! moron!

  • that's SICK!! the poor thing was in pain and suffering!! how would you like it if someone did that to you? sick

  • Holy hell man... this vid makes me want to be a vegetarian.

  • Yeah it kinda had that effect on my too. For a while at least. Haven't had lobster since...

  • @a1rhendr1x I don't eat it. I haven't since I was 18. I found out how they're boiled alive only don't really die right away. How could somebody enjoy eating a tortured animal. Does that really make you feel good? You're a creep. You should take this video off.

  • lmao at his reaction when it went wrong..but the lobster moved during the tail removal -____-

  • Yuk, thats absolutely wicked and cruel

  • "ah shit"

    LOL

  • Clam'd

  • The lobster was still alive after you cut it, therefore, you did it wrong.

  • This is so sad. He was trying to close his eyes when the knife was on his head. :(

  • @JujixFruit YES, I saw that too. The eyes were blinking and he drew himself and his claws in. I hate ppl like this dork. Is his ugly mouth and stomach really worth it.? NO!

  • I find the best way to despatch a lobster is to place it in a freezer for 10 to 15 mins depending on size then straight into a large pan of boiling water,

  • Agreed. The freezer would have helped tremendously.

  • You did it right... this is the way to kill a lobster in the most human way. But this video shows that "the most human way" means "the most brutal way".

    Human = Violence = Kill = Death

    Is our damn nature !

  • when it's other body parts are in spas, does it feel pain?? how much did that lobster cost you??

  • lol, youre funny man, " i swear thats what it said to do on youtube"....but i think it dies faster when u throw it in boiling water. Here it looked like it was suffering more.

  • was it hard

  • i felt sorry for the lobby but thanks for trying. have you thought about cutting the string the brain was hanging on? that might have worked okay

  • Whoa, what? That was the brain that came out?

  • i dunno just a flying guess

  • Looks like brain.

Make video of steak next time.

  • Man the best way to kill these beasts is with 12 ball! Althought I may have a phobia!!

  • Dang, I was gonna cook some lobster up but idk if i can do it now. I dont feel bad for it cause i know a lot of it is just nerve reaction, but dang idk if i can cut something up while its still moving around in my hand. And i think it has crazy eyes from like :17 to :20 lol

  • WRONG!!!!

  • shit the poor thing!

  • oh and 1:01 to 1:06 fuckin price less and keep klickin the round thngy on the timeline on 1 04 lol

  • this was very helpful i was looking for the most humain wat to kill a lobster because i wanna teach my little cousins how to thanx for de advice

  • You might want to find a better example... I'm pretty sure things didn't go exactly as they should have. Lol.

  • you totally freaked out when the lobster was still moving hahah nice vid man... and you could totally see you were feeling guilty when it was still kicking XD

  • "that's what it said to do on youtube..." yeah, not the best place for advice! Anyways great video. I laughed very hard!

    5stars

  • LMAO this video's hilarious

  • dude, that was effing awesome lol....i so wanna buy lobster now..

  • This is not the most humane method, let me teach you one. I learnt it from the show 'Good Eats' go search for it, it's one here somewhere.

Refrigerate the lobster for 20 mins, then steam/cook it immediately afterwards. By that time, they won't feel a thing and are already half dead. They are put in a coma by the dry refrigeration, also it's cleaner.

  • Jeez, thank god I'm not a fan of lobster. Scary stuff.

  • mmm crunchy.

  • yeah... "humane"

  • if it doesnt feel a thing then why does it squirm its like all the bullshit about what they say about worms

  • You did it the right way. You are not really killing the lobster...you are simply disabling its nervous system so it doesn't feel a thing. You can cut off a human's head and the torso will still be moving due to remnants of nervous signals...the heart will still be beating..etc..etc.

You can ease the pain and slow down movement by throwing the lobster in the freezer for about 30min...then do him or her!

  • This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer keeps a lobster as a pet and eventually eats it. He sobs while commenting on how delicious it tastes.

  • how is it not dying??

  • This is pretty sad because if he did he was dead right but he was not!

If you do something do it well and quickly so that the animal feels nothing like

  • aah shit it didnt die

  • hahahahaha g-sus h christ its the little lobster that could... but at the wrath of an man haha. brings back fond memories of sitting in the back yard pullin off moths wings and watch em struggle... thats probably bad haha

  • He killed it correctly. I kill lobsters like that all the time. In fact, I did it this evening because I had lobster for dinner. I can do it quicker than him though. When I do it, that lobster doesn't feel a thing. I stab and draw the knife in less than a second and then immediately throw it into the already boiling water. He should have thrown the lobster into the water in one whole piece and segment it after cooking, not before

  • Thanks for the tips. If I ever try this again, I'll keep that in mind.

  • Whoops

  • Comment removed

  • wow....yea i think just dumping it in boiling water would be more humane than all of that

  • It probly carries on moving because of the nerves like a chicken does after its been de-headed

  • That's what I tell myself to get to sleep at night.

  • omg im now a vegitarian poor lobster

  • i wonder if lobsters looked like puppies would people still eat them

  • Oh my gosh... poor lobster...

  • oh man, so much for a quick dispatch. Haha. No offense but the reaction was just funny.

  • you did it right on the 1st slice. maybe a little quicker would of been better. the rest was spontanious mucles movements or pre-programing of the body before the brain dies or disconects from the body.

  • that was just disturbing...i think i am a vegetarian now...

  • omfg ur insane in the membrane!!! 0_o rofl

  • hahaha after he rips the tail off, the claws keep moving LMAO

  • uggg, that was sick! Just throw it in the damn pot of boiling water. In less than a second it dies instead of turning it into a lobster version of Saw.

  • haha funny

  • ouch...that hurt....

  • Wow, ive always been one to think animals are just animals- but that really made me feel sad on the inside to watch it twitch and what not =(

Of course im sure you didnt mean it like that

  • @a1r: this is exactly what eating animals should be like. they all are, after all, alive at some point. well done.

  • That was 10 times more painful than it could have been. You learned this on youtube? lol you idiot, read a book for once.

  • I think the idea was right... I just did it wrong.

  • i've got the same knives xD

  • PWNED!

  • Ehh, who cares. If it tastes good, it did not die in vain. It should be respected if it tasted good, and live on in your stomach..until....yano..

  • Now I am not a vegetarian but that was savage! That wasn't really humane as such lol

That lobster was legendary to still be moving even tho cut in half and tail and pincers ripped off.

  • oh poor lobster its half dead.OMG

  • thats some fuked up shit

  • Uno dice por que no grita entonces hay que que hacerle lo que quiera

si los humanos no producen ruido al momento que se les mata entonces hubiera mas guerras xD

  • Wow. That lobster was in denial about dying. However, no, lobsters can't conceptualize pain like humans. And don't feel and process the unpleasent aspect of it.

  • You are right.

  • "I think I did it right.." *Lobster starts moving around*

  • "Doesn't look kosher"

hahaha i thought jews weren't supposed to have seafoods such as shrimps and lobsters
