@mysweetchild1 it depends on the kind and the kit. My dollhouse that I have costed 250.00 and it was already built with some wallpaper and flooring and very little furniture. I have had it for three years and I have put about 600.00 to 700.00 bucks in the thing and I love it.

Yes it is. I bought the house for $40 on eBay and the walls were falling off of it, so I repaired it, fixed the roof, added an addition, painted, shingled, and decorated it and then did the inside. It took four months!

i've always loved tiny things. I thought something was wrong with me when I was little! I used to make tiny miniature figures for events in school that needed the utmost care. They were so fragile..^^

Those doll houses are so tiny. Reminds me of the way things used to be. ha ha, i'm not so good at 1/12th scale now, though. I'm more so revolved around 1/6th. But, anyway, these are still really cute and cool

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!! Every time I meet someone I try to tell them about that feeling I get with dollhouses but they don't get it! There is something about it. I went to a dollhouse exhibit and AHHH everything was so tiny, it takes my breath away. There really isn't a explanation for the feeling.

It's a wonderful hobby! 1/12th scale is the most common collectible scale and I would recommend a Real Good Toys house as they are easy to assemble and are very durable. :) Good luck!

I once built one by Greenleaf, and found the quality was not as good as the Real Good Toys obviously are. Still, it was a wonderful and fun project and I'd like to do it again someday.
