I'm not taking anything away from Navy Seals but my question is, If Navy Seals are such badasses and everyone says they are better than Green Berets then why weren't they the first ones into Afghanistan from our Armed Forces??? If Navy Seals can do everything better than any other US Spec Ops, then why did Green Berets get there first? Why is the commander of all US Forces in Afghanistan a Green Beret? Why have the majority of SOCOM Commanders been Green Berets? Can anyone answer that???

@redthreemike The Green Berets are a special forces group, unlike the SEALs which are a special operations group. Usually, in most combat zones, the first ones in are groups that civilians have never heard about and the government is going to keep it that way.

@Jp4baseball ?...you're clearly confused. Green Beret is a nickname for Special Forces...when you say Special Forces you are ONLY referring to Army Special Forces. Army SF are a part of Special Operations, not just SEALs. Also the first U.S. MILITARY unit in Afghanistan were Army SF. The first Americans were from the CIAs Special Activities Division (SAD). Jawbreaker is a book written by the CIA field commander, it's a great read and it states the details of the operation in there.

@Jp4baseball Go to my account under my favorites and check out the video that says "Jawbreaker"...it's about ten minutes long but at the 5:30 minute mark the CIA states that Army Special Operations were on their way to Afghanistan and that the first Army Special Forces A-Team was there on the 19th of October with the North Alliance ready to do battle. It was Delta, Army Special Forces and Air Force Combat Controllers doing battle....not SEALs...

Men who have never touched a weapon...? You serious?  I could understand someone coming straight off the street but once you come in the Army, they teach you proper weapons handling and techniques. Something all soldiers learn when they come on. As far as Army SF getting caught? Check your facts man, Seals in Grenada, Seals in Panama, didn't do much in Desert Storm...Army SF has pretty much been the tip of the spear. Seals better shots...I think not.

@roberto376 What officer was that? I just think SF deserves more credit...they've done more than any other Special Operations unit. Handful of SF took down the Taliban and Al Queda and forged a new Afghanistan with Team 574...you should check out my videos about that...those boys can do it all unlike the other Spec Ops units.

I feel committed to the Marines because of all the friends, family, and Marine recruiters I've told that Im joining the Marines compiled on top of selling my parents on my enlistment in december but my first and most passionate illusions about the military were of myself being a Navy SEAL. Maybe after a three year hitch in the Corps, I'll switch over to become a SEAL.

I personally know the OIC (Officer in Charge) Master Chief Paul Tharp at SWCPC. He is a 20+ year veteran of the SEAL Teams and he has plans on getting the turds out and winners in. If you can't swim, then don't bother to sign the dotted line because your going to be doing more swimming than you care too. Along with being smoked poolside you are going to be put through team building exercises and smoked some more. There's plenty in store for the guy's who think they have what it takes. Good Luck.

thanks im going to be honest. i sat down and did this in about 10 min. i had a bunch of clips saved on my computer i just randomly pieced them together. i always knew what song i was going to use so when i added it the only thing i had to really work on was when the heards come out of the water and the music gets intense. other than that the end was a picture of a tshirt that i have. thanks for the comments!

You'll have to first negotiate Great lakes RTC then the new SWCPC (Special Warfare Center Prep Course) The new prep course replaces going to a standard rating school such as Quartermaster or Boatswain mate. You will spend up to 10 weeks after your intial RTC with the new cadre at SWCPC at Great Lakes. This serves as your rating school. If you negotiate that, then you will be granted the privilege to be smoked hard at BUDS/S

Well... I run everyday and try to swim at least 4 times a week. i think swimming is goign to be the hardest for me but im not giving up. as for workout i dont know... i just try to balance my whole body. what made you want to be a seal?
