Before you try it you have to make sure of two things -- 1- to have the key just incase the trick doesn't work . 2-make sure you are not alone at the cottage when you do it because if you don't know your next door neighbours you will end up in two extra hand cuffs when you reach them for help..

Well, as this may be impressive, i have done this before. Attempted it with a pair of rigid cuffs, and it did not work. And besides, in the back of a cop car, the cop is gonna see wat your doing before you finish uncuffing your self. Thats not a challange at all. A monkey could get out of chained Handcuffs. Thats why they made Hinged with a KeyHole on ONE side. Even Holding a Key you can not unlock them. But with a Lot of Bending you can use a Wire. But it is extremely dificult. Someone pulls that Off Ill be impressed.

Try the Hinged, Aiming the Key Hole TOWARD the ForeArm like they are designed. Ill tell you this much. Its possible to pick them with a wire but you can NOT even release your self from them with a Key In Hand. Because the Hinge will not allow you to turn the hand over to place the key in and turn it. The people who are escaping from them are wearing them wrong thuss CHEATING. Hinged Model 300. Key Hole opposite from Hands.

You obviously don't read and do your research properly, Im using ASP Model 100 cuffs, these cuffs are made with the keys holes being on both sides of the cuff. So yes I am using THESE handcuffs properly.

You OBVIOUSLY didn't read proper police procedures for using handcuffs. Hands are to placed palms outward, not towards each other as you have done.

With palms outward it makes it almost impossible to access the keyholes, regardless of keyhole position.

@polskapat First time I tried to pick these, I didnt look at them. I was putting the pick in the outer plastic part of the cuffs, I was like "Where the hell is...". Even looking at the keyhole, I didnt notice at first how deep it was (Is that to prevent keymaking with the flat surface like S&W and other brands?). We opened handcuffs with a flimsy drinking straw at DEFCON 19 yesterday (uploading video now).

No one showed me how to this. Take your cuffs and observe them. Make sure you know how the mechanics of them work. Once you see how it works, you'll know where to push and slip the hair pin. Good Luck!
