please god upload a new video of this thing, im very sersious about running a turbo on mine and would love to talk some shop about this bike man i have a 750 as well let me know
cool adaptation ! I've got a gpz 750 turbo which I run without an endcan so it sounds very similiar to that! :) can't beat the sound of a turboedd straight four! :)
I have a 1982 cb750c that I want to make into a retro drag bike/bobber. I've been thinking about going with a turbo'd 838 stroker. I've been looking for turbo kits OR shops that do custom work in the Phoenix area. Have any suggestions? Great Bike...BTW
I bought CB 750 with turbo on it few years ago. it is also homemade setup. I could not make it run too good with it, so I took the turbo away and putted stock carbs on it. Now I try to fix that. Do you have any closeup pics/videos of the installation? Mine is little bit different. I thought, that I try with stock carbs also, since I think that those carbs, which it had, arent good.
Thanks for the updates 4Nmuscle, and for figuring out why I got errors trying to post (url's are a no no:). Build thread here: forums (dot) sohc4 (dot) net/index (dot) php?topic=59262.0 (replace (dot) with a '.', no spaces)
Bike has close to 3000 boosted miles on the stock 16k mile motor running ~8-9psi on a cheap ebay turbo a bit smaller than a Garrett GT2056.
@Agathon - Wondering if you have a ATP draw through turbo kit with the rear mount turbo?
@4Nmuscle thanks for responding ;) i`m looking forward to watch that vid^^ ..... the plan sounds good... but i guess, i won`t see any flicking flames in the upcoming vid =(
god damn dude easy on the start button! ha. jk. that was pretty impressive how easily she started up. i've got such a hardon for a good solid 750 motor and trans right now to put in a rigid frame. you know that itch for something that every time you see one it twists your stomach a little knowing how bad you want it? it is highly irritating me to not be riding one right now. being effin' broke sucks
I resurrected my 80 CB750 and jetted it hard for the open cone filters to breathe with its kerker. Mixture still isnt right, needs more air now but I dont feel like filling in my jets and starting again, and then I thought of turbo power, forcing air in to match the amt of gas.
Any upgrades you do within the engine? Like cams or pistons or the like?
I was gonna try n use my old '92 Saab 9000 turbo unit for mine, BADASS turbo that would barely fit, but you could hear it whistle! B)
The stock slide carbs work surprisingly well. The o-rings for the choke and throttle shafts needed to be replaced with thicker rings to help seal up for the boost pressures (8 psi for now). This created the choke and throttle shafts to get a bit sticky, some pure silicone fixed the problem. Near stock jetting and boost compensation hoses (pitot tubes) to the atmospheric air ports and fuel over flow tubes to the intake/pitot tubes/ or sealed off.
The bike retains crisp throttle response it had in NA form, with a nice kick from 5000-10,000rpm once it spools up. It has none of the hard-starting issues that the draw-thru setups are known for. Jetting is nearly stock as well. The owner added Pitot tubes which are hooked to the float bowl overflow tubes. Be sure to use a good rising rate (1:1) fuel regulator and inline fuel pump. You'll need to add a return line on your fuel tank also. Be sure to add clutch upgrades to your budget.
How well do the stock carbs work with this set-up? Did you have to do anything special to make them work as a blow through carb? Most carbureted turbo bikes I've seen use a "suck through" single carb mounted on the intake side of the turbo. Any info you could give me would be much appreciated as I'm considering doing thid myself. Thanks.
what size turbo you running there or what is it from?

Search "Bamboozler308" for a dyno video. Bike made just over 100hp at the rear wheel on pumpgas (91) and 8psi.
My "theoretical 50% increase" I mentioned in earlier posts was more like 100% increase in RWHP over a stock CB750.

E ESSE MOTOR AGUENTA UM TURBO?
Buckbigchaves 11 months ago

what`s that cable going down to the exhaust-pipe (0:15)? ... is it some kinda ignition for a walmart-afterburner? =D
monstertrucker1 1 year ago
@monstertrucker1 - Walmart-afterburner lol!!! Its really an Innovate Wideband O2 sensor. Gotta tune it somehow, right?
I gotta get an updated video of this thing up, it recently recieved the cafe' treatment, full length stainless exhaust and an intercooler setup.
