  • Emilie autumn gives me the heebie-jeebies.

  • When I first heard the title I thought it would be about the japanese subculture..................This is about rape.

I still love the song thought <3

  • @MrsOmnomnomers Because "lolita" before the fashion came from a Russian novel about a little girl named Lolita who is left in the care of her stepfather when her mother dies, who is a huge pedophile and is constantly molesting her. It also relates to Emilie Autumn's personal experiences with being raped when she under aged.

  • So my friend suggested I listen to her.. and honestly, dissaaappoooinnt.. x.x

  • @520531798 Why disappointing? Have you heard her shred the electric violin? Or listened to any of her music? She's a very unique artist and literally has something for everyone. Her music is amazingly diverse.

  • @nutellaloveschoco123 Yes actually I listened to a lot of her music and I didnt care for it. Just my opinion. I dont think she has something for everyone, like you said, because I have come across a lot of people that dont care for her.

  • when i was younger i had a music box that was broken and sounded like that and it went off one night while i was sleeping that music box is haunted i swear but i still have it till this day

  • Kinda weird thought lets have a tea party o.o and play this song.

  • ..wait what is a lolita?

  • @TheWarriorzrule an underage girl who is sexually attractive to older men

  • @TheWarriorzrule Its a sexually precocious young girl. Theres other defintion of it too.

  • I want that dress at 0:00. oh my... :)

  • I hate her v oice, but I wanna fuck it with my brain.

  • my classmate told me the story of this song. He said she's the lolita and the criminal is the one who raped her. He should be killed by the army of little girls he molested.... at least, that's what he thinks

  • Is it supposed to sound like it's skipping at the start?

  • @RationalHB Yes. Great song.

  • correction, i was drinking tea at 4 O'CLOCK and listening to this. damn im even more of a plague rat then i noticed xD

  • drinkin tea and listening to emilie autumn since 4 in the morning. sucha plague rat. XD

  • @TheDorkasaurusx3 4 in the morning? did you sayd 4 o'clock.... XD

  • @KARITO9797 OMG EVEN BETTER. XD

  • dose any one know how old she is she looks 25

  • @ana6740ify She is 32 we share a birthday Sept.22 I love her so much.

  • I love this song, but I can't help but cry when I listen to it..... "The law won't arrest you, the world won't detest you..."

  • I love this song! It's so beautiful and I don't know any other song like it.The only part of it that I don't understand is when she sings, 'the law won't arrest you, the world won't detest you'. I understand how that could relate to the book but not a real life situation?

  • @RaisedByBadgers looking at her story. the one who raped wasn't found, thus wasn't arrested and nobody knows him, so he is not detested, while he should be , at least that is how I understand it

  • @FlypaperGirlSangue Oh I see. Thank you, I understand now.

  • Every time I hear this, I imagine her called up to the witness stand in a trial against her rapist, and he's defending himself, saying it's her fault for the way she dresses and how she's such a Gothic Lolita. And when he questions her, saying these things, she responds with the lyrics of this song, expressing her insanity.

    ... I'm fucked up. =w=

  • @RavenxRobin101 I like it - very poignant :-)

  • @RavenxRobin101 When I listen to it, I imagine that she kidnapped him and is singing this to him while he's tied in a chair and then a bunch of gothic lolitas come out and dance around him and then they kill him at the end :D

  • working on a school project and the chorus "if I am Lolita than you are a criminal and you should be killed by an army of little girls" is going on my head

  • @Sicvicious I get that part stuck in my head a lot too!

  • This is a masterpiece.

  • The fuck is up with her voice? O.o

  • @quijanopriscilla she sings with emotion, nice huh?

  • @quijanopriscilla It's just the way she sings - look up Kate Bush, she was pretty popular in the 1980s and has the same kind of vocal style.

  • i would like to make love to her

  • @fernny1993 You dont make love to Emilie Autumn...She makes love to you whenever she opens her mouth to sing. All you gotta do is close your eyes and you can hear it in her voice

  • I feel really bad for Emilie

  • I love this song. My take on the song is that she got inspired by the book "Lolita" where a 14yr is sexual abused by her step-dad. I feel like this song is an excellent take on the book as it shows Dolores's pain while condemning the critics who read the book and claim that Humbert was in no way guilty and he was just love.

  • @hikaru2521 the thing is not about the Lolita book, is about the Lolita fashion , in her early years, she was a kind of gothic lolita, so there's the reference of "ruffles and laces and candy sweet faces" and in that circunstances she was raped, so... the thing is that "if she dress like a gothic lolita..or however she want, she deserve to be raped? the rape is justified?

  • @KARITO9797 It's just how I interpreted the song. I recognize that she was making references to her own life but I still think that the book helped spark the lyrics. Dolores or "Lolita" was very flirtatious which could make it "her fault" and she loved eating anything sweet. And the song does fit the book but it's open for many interpretations. That's what makes poems or, in this case song lyrics, so good.

  • her voice...oh god, her fucking voice! I love that, this song especially. the lyrics of this song are beautiful...she's beautiful, her her voice is amazing! I'm listening to her since I was 11 (now I'm 20) and I miss those years too much.

  • This kind of thing makes me sick (I'm a guy.). But what bothers me more is she dressed up in revealing clothing while singing this song... or, any song. I find it sickening that women have to strip to sell their musical talents. Emilie Autumn is an amazing singer, and doesn't/shouldn't need to show her body to sell it.

That being said, I can't listen to songs like this. It makes me sick to think what some people suffer through. It really, really does.

  • Comment removed

  • @InternetWarMachine Well it's not that she strips to sell her talents. That's the way she likes to dress. It doesn't mean she's trying to show off her body to sell her music. I mean it's a possibility but still. I love the way she dresses it's creative and different. I've been in her situation. I was molested when I was little yet I wear semi-revealing clothing, not because I'm trying to show myself off but because I like the way it looks.

  • @InternetWarMachine she doesn't have to and shes not doing so to sell herm usic. she chooses to do so and theres nothing wrong with that, she's in charge of what she wears. i think she makes designs and makes a lot of the stuff she wears on stage

  • @CountessKitty18 wow, can't type today it seems..

  • @InternetWarMachine So if a woman is wearing revealing clothing it automatically means she is trying to sell something? It can't be that she just likes to dress that way....ofc not how silly of me to even think of that notion....

  • The five people who disliked this will be killed by an army of little girls.

  • This is the one song of Emilie Autumn's that I cannot sing without feeling choked up, because what happened to her as a child happened to me when I was the same age. This song just summed up everything I ever wanted to say to the man who I thought cared about me--this is the song that I sing along to with my whole heart. This song was just perfect in every way to me, the feelings that I had through my short lived childhood. For this I love EA so very much--and I am so thankful to her.

  • To clarify, I'm not calling her pop by the way. Just comparing her to pop singers.

  • Emilie has a sort of emotion in her voice most of the female pop singers seriously lack. One of the things I love most.

  • i think my ex is gonna get killed my an army of little girls.. lol JK. but he deserves it.

  • These lyrics are amazing:O Emilie never fails to give fucking ridiculously amazing lyrics.

  • sadly, there are men out there who need to be killed by an army of little girls.

  • Well if you ´ re talking about how "clever" these lyrics are and how can someone relate to this, I ´ ll tell you that these are the cleverest lyrics I ´ ve ever seen, because NOBODY would describe and express the feelings of a woman/girl who has been raped in such brilliant, metaphoric and even sarcastic way. Emilie has captured it perfectly. This song is epic.

  • Pedobear better watch out :U

  • Is this roughly based on both Lolita fashion as well as the book Lolita? Among other things, that is.

  • @VanityElric I believe Emilie said that she was writing a song about gothic lolita because "What's more gothic than someone who can't go on living because someone molested them?" Or...something.

  • @VanityElric It's based on when she was molested as a child. The lyrics use connotations of Lolita clothing (Ruffles and laces and candy sweet faces) as a metaphor for her ruined childhood. :)

  • ‎30 day song challenge

day 15 - a song that describes you

  • ‎30 day song challenge

day 8 - a song that you know all the words to

this Is one of my favorite songs! ^^

  • This song is excatly my story... It's scary and this song is my comfert song, knowing someone else went through the same thing I did...

  • reminds me of what luis garcia's victims would say/think of him after he's raped them.

  • this song is absolutely beautifully haunting. can't stop listening to it.

  • i will dress like gothic lolita to go out but i live in US not japan sad

  • @deathkill230 That shouldn't stop you from dressing up in a lolita o-o I live in the US too but I've worn my loli to school several times and I got tons of compliments from people. If you're shy I can understand why you wouldn't go out and purposely making yourself stand out, but if you're not give it a try xp it's rather fun to dress up in public~

  • i will dress like gothic lolita to go out but i live in US not japan

  • ps, just type in 'emilie autumn gothic lolita story' into google and it should be the 4th one down.

  • um...you guys are fucking retards. this is about a real experience for her. if you know ea, you know its true. that's why she doesn't play it at shows. just because some of her work is based off of books/stories (i.e. shalott is based off of lady of shalott) doesn't mean it's all fake. and fyi, just because she has bipolar disorder doesn't mean that's who she is. someone was kicked off of the EA fourm because she said something like that. she says its 'autobiographical" on her fourm. dumbasses.

  • what is the story of this song?

  • @Louysa1 I think it's based on the book, Lolita, which about..I don't know XD I know that in the movie some dude falls in love with some girl, who is his stepdaughter and it was just so god damn wrong >.< But you know, sometimes movies twist the plot of books =D

  • @UmbrellaUnicorn she wrote the books about her own life and non-reality life since she is bipolar and admits that not all reality to her is true reality to the world..its in an interview on here somewhere...since that is where i learned about it

  • @Vampkiki yeah she seperates herself into an alternate universe to deal with the crap she went through. in that other world, she is 16 year old 'emily' who lives in victorian times. i need that book >.<

  • @EmteeThotsRinny her website or ebay i have seen them for sale =^_^=

  • @UmbrellaUnicorn no....it's real.

  • @EmteeThotsRinny It may be based on both experience and the book. I don't know for sure, because I'm not Emilie Autumn am I?

  • lmao, what's up with the one fag who didn't like this song?

  • @Scarlet302 he is a criminal

  • "maloli malolita"!

Those little back vocals are haunting, so beautiful for the ear to absord (as is the rest of the song actually).

But does anyone knows of some music exists consisting mainly, or at least having a lot, of those types of small bouncing vocals in them?

  • @vempire2000,that sounds more like a compliment....

  • HOW SWEET <3

  • This is the song that got me hooked.

  • If I'm Kokonoe then you are a pedobear and you should be raped by an army of tsundere.

  • @reptilicasapiens LOL brilliant!

  • this song has the same meaning as the cures' 'lullaby' only that version gave be shudders this one just me paranoid but nevertheless great voice great lyrics...

    god robert smiths so hot.............

  • i have the cd

  • Lolitas rulez

  • @GenediDofus Go Lolita Chan!!!

  • madame Autumn's most controvercial song in my opinion. The men who inspired this song should be torured and killed by an army of ravenous and ebil little girls in hell.

  • this is a criticism of the Gothic Lolita and say something Emilie autumn is absolutely right is the best critique I love that I have heard criticism. :D

  • First time listening to EA, and... damn, I'm very impressed with her voice!

  • Beautiful but twisted. Part of me is freaked, part of me is intriqed. I would never do such despicable things, I agree with xsnipsnipx, such dispicable gentelmen SHOULD be killed by an army of small girls.

  • Such a powerful voice in such a little lady...

    ...awesome. =3

  • first heard this song from a friend. got it straight away. love it, but its heard to listen to for me, like watching law and order SVU... sometimes you can take it, sometimes you just want to be ignorant of the evil around you >.>

love emilie autumn though, every song has meaning

  • <33

  • @l2ubyl2ed Me 2... So good:D

  • Whats this song about? o.ô

  • i think this song is about when she got raped or sumthing like that o.o

  • the song i think might be based on the book lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

  • do you want me to explain? or did you figure it out? or do you care? ^^;

  • @kuddel65 I think it's a play on the phrase "gothic lolita", describing a fashion style.

  • @reptilicasapiens It's actually about a movie, and a series of events that happened to her as a child.

  • @anicoleantoinette22 about what movie?

  • See? EA got it right... Men like that SHOULD be killed by an army of little girls.

  • Best song of her ever!!! well she has alot but this one really gets to me she uses simple poetry that it's so effective!!! Like BAM!!! thats what emilie does so perfectly!!!!

  • The lyrics are so clever [this song and her others]

    I JUST LOVE EMILY AUTUMN!!!!

When is she next coming to england?

  • January :)

  • Doesn't prove people to be stupid atall, the lyrics are very clever. Anyone whos been molested as a child by people like you can relate to it. :D

Aswell as people that just like music.

  • Emilie Autumn is so beautiful *-* I love this song..Relates to me

Keep up the good music Emilie.

    5/5

  • I love when she says "now screammmmm..." it makes me get goose bumps.

this is one of my all time favorite EA songs.

    Its phenomenal.

  • I take it this is about when she was raped.

It's so sad all the terrible things that have happened to Emilie, and other girls too. I like the play on Vladimir's Novel "Lolita" and the fashion trend "Gothic Lolita" it makes it very interesting, and not what I expected. I like the tune too. Sounds like a broken Victorian child's toy at the beginning (possibly intentional), then goes almost like a dance tune.

5 stars once again Emilie - incredible song :)

  • This song is so sad. :(

  • I love this song... @__@

  • this song portrays vladmirs novel "Lolita" very well :] i love emilie autumn.

  • the guy should be killed my an army of little girls o.O .......SWEET!!!

  • Strange voice xD

  • i don't know why but i really like this song
