hey,i was on amazon and i was looking for one of these - just thought id say that the pen im looking at is exactly the same and everything - but the photo res is 1280 x 960 and the video resolution is 640 x 480 :D

@EchoSheppo yep i know the problem is that many people sell you this spy pen saying that it films at 1280x960. This pen resolution is 640x480. thats why I'm not happy as its sold by so many people declaring it to be 1280x960 Video and Photo when its not. but its ok if you don't need better resolution.

The resolution is not correct, i cant hear my voice good, you just hear crackle and hissing. I think the pen is good for what it costs. I just hoped it was better thats all. I'm looking for something with better quality as if you want to record other peoples voices you could be disappointed

Hold down the button on the top to put it on standby mode a light will come on. Then press top for short time and once red light flashes slowly it means your recording. Press again to stop.

I would say that the video quality is acceptable (for the price), but, I do agree with you about the sound (a wind filter would be nice), and that light. It's a spy pen, why would you want a red light on a SPY pen? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?

its better to have a spy watch than a spy pen. i have both. However, the spy pen has better picture and sound quality. But still, i would go with a spy watch. Its more undetectable and better range. Also i have the button spy also. Im a james bond spy gaget lover. Also dont get a spy watch/pen/button that has a built-in transmitter. Another person can see/hear and record what your recording also. So beware agents.

@ThePrince3ssa The battery lasts about 1h 30min so unless u can have a power suply to top up the battery thats it. The memory card could probably record for hours and hours so the problem would be power suply. Hope ive been of help

FYI, I have heard that cameras like these perform better if you are using a more expensive SD card. AKA, a class 6 card. It's the fastest and those are more expensive then the normal SD cards which are typically class 2 or class 4.

As such, I highly doubt that 16GB card that came with the pen is a class 6, so you will definitely lose quality when there is motion in the video.

it's unbelievable how absolutely spoiled people can be about this technology. This is a lousy 20.00 camera/pen which takes acceptable video and has decent sound. what the hell do you want for 20.00, a cartier or tiffany? wake up.........this is an incredible buy for what it does........back in 1970, i paid 100.00 for a stinking basic calculator.

@lostintrans8n belive me there is no model number lol. I bought it from ebay from honk kong, most of the spy pens are all the same model on ebay go take a look. dont buy the expensive ones cos it films video at the same quality. hope ive been of some help.
