this idea had a lot of potential but the works on it are very poor. typical of EA, coming up with good ideas like battleforge, armies of exigo, red alert(the recent one) and keeps finding new ways to screw them up by poor update service, poorer content, unbalanced issues that don't please a majority of the community.

It sucks armies of exigo and battleforge had to suffer this I liked both game very much :/

i think the idea of money translating into ingame power is bullshit. I´ve gotten free version and spend 10 bucks for boosters bought some seperate cards on via auktion. it´s just like your playing starcraft and the other guys rushes you with a protoss carrier once you have your first hydralisk cause he paid 10 more bucks for it. My micro is good i´ve played starcraft for a long time yet i get called a noob on the campaign maps cause i don´t have this or that creature.

If you spend around ~50€ (basically a normal game price - and much less than games like WoW), you can have almost all cards, excluding only a few superexpensive ones which you only need for a few strategies anyway (and can be countered with much cheaper cards, if your opponent uses them against you)

If you spend only 5 € or nothing, you are at a disadvantage, but then again, that is more like having a demo.

So unlike in "Magic", you don't have to spend a lot.

Nah, You have to unlock higher 'tech' creatures (the biggest ones) by getting orbs, and they cost more power. Its remarkably balanced gaming really ^_^

no, you dont have to pay anything after you buy the game... you get 3500 "ingame money called "BFP or battleforge points") that you use for buying cards or new boosters... ive bought the game and just by trading thru auction house i both earned BFP and got new cards i wanted... and wont ever invest real money in it (you can buy BFP for real money, but you dont have to)
