Im not saying JT is right, but he has a SLIGHT point. Video games may ocasionaly inspire the "how", but he makes them out to inspire the "why" as well. People dont kill without reason unless they're bat shit crazy to start with. So what Manhunt would show you how to "Plastic Bag" someone? The killer would just stab the guy without the idea. He may as well come out and say Halo MAKES people shoot 500 years in the future, grab a gun, Terminator their way back, and shoot someone, he has it wrong.

That's very true. JT seems to think that video games are the only related factor when it comes to teen killings. What about the overwhelming majority of healthy people that don't get any ideas of killing somebody after playing a game? Point is, nobody would take a game seriously enough to kill unless that person is seriously disturbed to begin with. And what made that person so unstable? There are oh so many reasons out there.

@Colbio I'll admit man, you do have a point. However, to be fair, JT can give us inspiration from time to time too. I never would have thought of making him a character on mortal kombat until he started complaining about it. :) Still, some games are violent, and should be regulated. But that doesn't mean they should be censored. After all, freedom of expression is what this country is based on.

JT gets owned as far as only pointing the finger at one form of media which is, in no doubt, the least manipulative, as games always have more of a level of detatchment being "games". If you want to solve things like that happening stop the media canibalising war as heroic, giving all the attention to rapists and murderers, drugs and problems....etc. That is infinatly more damaging as far as sugestive themeology baring in mind the obviouse power/influence (and only to the weak minded) of media.
