Decent, some of your tricks were a bit sloppy but decent none the less. Most of the skills you showcase look a lot more impressive than they really are. just noticed this video was uploaded 5 years ago so i hope you have improved and wish you the best.
You mean at 1:08? The trick is to turn your body 180º and follow whichever arm that initiates the turn. So if you start off with your arms circling up, try turning your body to the right when your right arm is in the air. You'll find yourself facing the opposite direction and your arms circling down. Then you do the opposite, where you turn your body to the left when your left arm is not in the air.
awesome i do martial arts myself and tips? thanks for showing me your great at the staff i practice with a staff thats my only martial arts wepon right no and again thanks for showing me this i love your videos!:)
thats great too see, what i would call a true martial artist, not limiting oneself to one art. i've been practising judo now for 15 years, and i've only dabble with weapons and aerial acrobatics, and i'm no way near as good lol. its great to watch thanks for the treat
oh, haha. I was wondering what you were talking about. lol
ummm yeah I really do want to make another video. Right now, the only problem is time and weather. Been a bit busy and don't have much time for editing videos. I only have a few new clips and I want to film more clips outside first but it's a pretty cold winter right now so I might have to wait a bit more. But I'll definitely try to get a sampler for this year.
yea i would agree with XG08Zero The three sectional staff was a little sloppy, your chain whip is pretty good, cant realyl say cause the clip was only a few seconds. Awesome job with everything else tho. Top notch martial arts dude.
haha man very very impressive i must say :-P i been doing Tae Kwon Do for about 5 years now myself I would consider myself a very hardcore martial artist but some of the stuff u do is alot of the stuff i can do but u do it so much smoother then i do it :P i also did Kendo for about 2 years myself and am currently doing Iaido as well and have been doing that for about 2-3 years off and on now i train about 3-4 hours a night 4-5 days a week
Your videos and skill are amazing dude, it gives me something to work towards, you got me fired up! ^_^
Your nunchaku work is pretty good too, I've bee studying them for a year but I still can't manage the move you do, crossing them over each other while spinning on each side over and over, any tips?
hmm.. trying to guess what move ur talking about... is it doing the figure-8 with the double nunchaku? For that move, I don't really cross over both arms at the exact time, because I'd usually end up with a collision between the two swinging handles. Instead I lead a normal figure-8 with my right arm and my left arm follows about half a rotation behind.
The only way I can reffer to them is the time in the video that you do them, im talking abut te the move you pull with double nunchakus at the 1:04 point in the vid.
ah good, that's what I thought you meant. So yeah... like I said, it's more like one arm following the other instead of simultaneously doing the same move. And it's really just a matter of first getting comfortable swinging in that movement with each arm separately and then trying with both arms.
That sliding around the subway pole was a nice touch. I'll admit that the kicking and spinning in the kendo uniform was really... weird, I guess. But even with that said, everything you did amazing. Even if they're just tricks and aren't very practical, they still look awesome. xD
No problem, I'll try to get some vids up of myself. The 3-sect-staff is one of the hardest weapons next to the chain whip, and you can't learn that thing on your own. You need professional help. It's glad you tried it and admitted you didn't do well.
Also, don't do that stupid samurai and other cool looking stuff. It looks really dorky, even if you do it well. Just practice your "fundementals", because they're really good right now. Focus on them...
why are u talkin so much shit....stop bashing on the guy and pretend that u know so mcuh juss shut da fuk up and if dont like the vid say u dont sotp posting shit acting like ur a pro
that was good, but still nothing compared to shaolin gongfu. you have good fundementals, so you would be good at sparring...
The three-section staff however, was pathetic. I've been training the weapon at the shaolin temple for a year, so I know how it's supposed to be used. Other than that weapon, everything else wasn't bad. Just don't get cocky and think you can do anything. This is still nothing compared to shaolin...
haha, well said. I really admire the Shaolin style. Plz send me some of your vids if you have any.
And yeah, that three-sectional staff was pretty scary. The video of me you see there was my first time holding that weapon. Since it belonged to someone else I only had a few minutes to play around with it and videotape myself.
hmmm well I did Taekwon-Do for maybe 5 years but that was long ago. I did Kendo for about a year. That was two years ago. The rest is self-practice stuff that I've been doing on and off for maybe 4 years. Since it's really been on and off, I'd forget a lot of things and have to relearn things all over again unfortunately. So despite all those years I haven't really progressed much.
hmm... well most of that is my basement. As for the gym, I think it's called Pulsars, located in Newmarket, Ontario (if you're familiar with Team Ryouko, this is the gym where they used to train. All their Friday Night Madness videos take place in that gym).
Decent, some of your tricks were a bit sloppy but decent none the less. Most of the skills you showcase look a lot more impressive than they really are. just noticed this video was uploaded 5 years ago so i hope you have improved and wish you the best.
