Absolutely one of the funniest people. Anyone can imitate the same ol' same ol', but his show is unique. The appearance on Redneck Comedy Roundup 2 is one of the best.
Was sitting in a bar in Rapid City, SD about a year before this aired and Mule Deer told the story about playing in the brothel. Great stuff. He was in town for his son, Shawn's birthday. Shawn (see his band Abby Someone!) was hosting and open mic. Mule Deer played, then my partner TSA and I had to play. Nobody noticed the two dorky boys which was just fine with me...
Wow! I remember seeing this guy back in the 70's on TV and he was my favorite comics he was so damn funny--for the longest time I somehow could not find his appearences and
began to wonder if I'd dreamt it all. How wonderful to run accross Gary Muledeer again. One of the greats.
in 1972 I was in Aspen Colorado for the first time. We caught a comedy act at the Jerome Hotel called Moondog and Muledeer. After the show both moondog and muledeer stopped at my table and stayed to chat. The show was hilarious and I had never heard of them before. p.s. I was the cute blonde in the glitter rock type sweater...shag haircut..think harder, you'll remember....
Awesome comedian

I saw Gary when he opened for Johnny Mathis many years ago, hysterical man. I also have Gary's autograph.
