This is very idealistic and may have been how some Atlanteans were at the start, but Atlantis was oriented toward science, materialism and war. We know that the Aztecs were very advanced. They had an advanced calendar system which depicted seasons as well as plantery orbits. My advice is get a college degree and go into either a trade or a profession. I entered a profession and that gave me the ability to get a great job and earn the money I needed. A marketable skill is a must in this world. All the knowledge in the world will be useless to you unless you can apply it and people will pay for your services because of this proper application.
But as I said, I'm working on that now, but it's very hard to find a proper job. Also because I'm just 'quite' excentric in my ways of living and being.

I don't think I can agree to a planetoid orbiting Earth every 12000 years. It seems unlikely in that this orbit would be immensely huge and it would be easily perturbed by gravity from the Sun, Jupiter and other planets so it's orbit would quickly revert to going around the Sun. My opinion on the garden of Eden is that it is a symbolic story but could be based on a cultural memory of a 'paradise'-like region where food was plentiful and life style was pre-agricultural (ie,no need to work to survive).
I do think this story is strongly symbolic of the era of switching from easy living at the moment from food easily picked to when agriculture developed which brought division of labour, consciousness of time and task. Environmental change could have caused this change

I cant seem to see that, if you look at the world map, each continent if put next to each other forms complimentary to the edges of the next continent to it, much like a jigsaw puzzle. The world used to be pne continent called by scientists as pangea. If atlantis sank or was destroyed, then the edges of north and south america should not match with africa and southwest europe.
what you say can easily be disproven: the only islands, for which there is evidence in the south atlantic, are the ones that are still there, the rest of the sea floor is pretty much what the 2 tectonic plates spewed out, a few ship wrecks and whatever debri was put their by weldlife/mother nature (I.E. the currents, rain, tectonic shifts, etc.)

Admit it, the only thing you guys have to support even the most mildest case for Atlantis are the ruins under the sea. Even then it not really proof that it was indeed called Alantis or that this Atlantis was as prestigious as most that believe think it was.

@thinker900 the only reason i personally believe in it, as with other things that have no proof, is the native american blood in me. the mayan calender predicted every world event in history before it happened, and ends on 2012. the aztecs not far from them (also devoted to star gazing) said they came from a great city, that's now under water. the minoan temple found on knosses was built 1500 years before greece or rome. the oldest Egyptian texts speak of it. a huge coincidence?

we can't already say Atlantis is not real. the ocean is bigger than we think and deeper than we can dive too. there's more that half of the ocean or world to be search. even all this year, people have only searched a quarter of our planet when there is so much more, even places we do not have technology for to go to. In the future if we ever do get higher technnalogy and search every inch of the ocean as deep as it goes and still not find it then we can say its fake.

Indonesia was called Sunderland or the homeland of the people of "Sumer" or Sumerians, just read about there accounts they speak of there homeland and how it sunk. We know that the Aztecs were very advanced. They had an advanced calendar system which depicted seasons as well as plantery orbits. They basically degraded enough that they destroyed themselves from inside with what started out as political problems. Could it be that the Aztecs are the real Atlanteans? We just need to get some research done as to what the Atlanteans told the Egyptians and compre it to the Aztec language of the time before the language changed due to accomodate European conquest.

I'm going to do additional research to find out if the culture in question was either Aztec or Mazan. I'm leaning more towards Aztec. I'm taking an Anthropology class. I read about an ancient Aztec/Mayan/Mexican Indian Legend which says that there were a group of Aztec explorers who set out on a boat/ship of some kind and travelled across the Atlantic. They arrived in Egypt and when they were asked where they came from they from "Atlanticus" which basically meant from across the Atlantic.

Oh, I do not think mankind needed the unproven extra terrestrials. I think given the vast amount of time that has passed, man has just been able to accomplish these things, such as the building of the pyramids, by using his own intellect. Expo, Well according to a very short Google search, Veda Bodha involves Eastern religious beliefs. I am not a follower of these beliefs, so I guess I will just say that I respect your beliefs and leave it at that. I am sorry though, but a place called Atlantis may have existed such as Pompeii did; however, I really doubt that it was an idyllic place such as what one finds in Grimm's fairy tales or maybe the legend of Camelot and King Arthur.

And ofcourse Atlantis wasn't a Perfect Place, hence it got Destroyed by the great Flood, the Atlanteans disturbed the balance of Nature, so Nature wiped them off the map.
Though some Atlanteans survived and got stranded in places like Egypt, India and South America, building their people's Holy Temples, the Pyramids, that's why they are spread across the globe, all built the same way and aligned with the same constellation. ;)

Exp, Ok, I read of the so called Sacred Knowledge that no one can really write down in a way that can be proven. I would ask you this. What has all this done for you personally? Has it made you very wealthy, healthy or wise? Has it really done anything at all that you can point to that has made your life greater? It gave me TRUE satisfaction, unlocked my inner potential, changed my view of the world... Before I researched all this stuff everything was just a bunch of mess thrown together and didn't make sense whatsoever.
I feel smarter and fulfilled.
AND I've only been doing this for less than 2 years, I'm only 19, and have no money or a good job, or a good education... Though I have great plans for my future and am working on that now, I firstly had to grasp the truth. Long way from done though :)

Expo, I noticed you are from Amsterdam. My mother and father came over to the US as children from there and I was born here. My advice is get a college degree and go into either a trade or a profession. I entered a profession and that gave me the ability to get a great job and earn the money I needed. A marketable skill is a must in this world. All the knowledge in the world will be useless to you unless you can apply it and people will pay for your services because of this proper application.

I don't think I can agree to a planetoid orbiting Earth every 12000 years. It seems unlikely in that this orbit would be immensely huge and it would be easily perturbed by gravity from the Sun, Jupiter and other planets so it's orbit would quickly revert to going around the Sun. Perhaps there is some large object orbiting the Sun with a somewhat comet-like orbit (coming very near the Sun for little time and spending much time far far far out way past Pluto). Perhaps a very faint brown dwarf?

My opinion on the garden of Eden is that it is a symbolic story but could be based on a cultural memory of a 'paradise'-like region where food was plentiful and life style was pre-agricultural (ie,no need to work to survive).
I do think this story is strongly symbolic of the era of switching from easy living at the moment from food easily picked to when agriculture developed which brought division of labour, consciousness of time and task. Environmental change could have caused this change

The fruit from the Tree of Knowledge offered by the snake is quite similar to the Greek's story of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods and giving it to humans (both the fruit and the fire being symbols for knowledge, ability, technology). Zeus was angered by this and had the Titan chained to the mountain where the Eagle ate his regenerating liver daily.
I take these as symbolic stories but some think they have a literal history (perhaps even as aliens giving technology to humans)

However, the Flood was actually a much older story present within Sumerian stories such as the Epic of Gilgmesh. The exception there being that the 'gods' wanted to destroy humanity because they were too noisy.
So the biblical text appears to be a retelling and alteration of much older mythology.
But these myths can be based on a real event of a Great Flood at the end of the ice age or some asteroid impact but I feel attributing it to gods/"God"s wrath is a human projection onto Reality.

This is all nonsense. Scientist can't even prove that atlantis even existed. There is no evidence of any way of life on atlantis, no technology,religon, science. No evidence of any of this at all. All thats known is that it was supposed to be a great kingdom, Very advanced, and was swollwed hole by the ocean.

The only reason why stand by my comment is the information i gathered from ancient tablets that tell the story of Atlantis,the land of mu or Lumeria and it states that as far back to that time there were even older continents and peoples the tablets are older than any plato this subject comes up a lot when i have time the tablets will be uploaded.

This sounds very cultish, the way of the religion the narrator is describing is like buddhism, what being described is like living in a commune. I've seen these people before worshiping at Pyramid Lake in California. Not that it is bad, it is just not the same Atlantis we read about that Plato wrote.

I cant seem to see that, if you look at the world map, each continent if put next to each other forms complimentary to the edges of the next continent to it, much like a jigsaw puzzle. The world used to be pne continent called by scientists as pangea. If atlantis sank or was destroyed, then the edges of north and south america should not match with africa and southwest europe.

what you say can easily be disproven: the only islands, for which there is evidence in the south atlantic, are the ones that are still there, the rest of the sea floor is pretty much what the 2 tectonic plates spewed out, a few ship wrecks and whatever debri was put their by weldlife/mother nature (I.E. the currents, rain, tectonic shifts, etc.)

@Cuscatlan2012, It started out as one continent, and then broke up into several islands before it sunk. just like other continents in the future. Mu or Lumeria will rise again in 2012, as will Atlantis. While North America will break in 2.

Of course that would be an ideal place to live but how could it possibly last? How could everyone live happily? For example; wife cheats on husband, husband goes mad accident kills wife, but how do society react? they cant put him in prison because they have none. What about one person who doesnt contribute to the rest of society (their form of work) one week, and arguments arise and possibly violence. A place like that just couldnt last

it happens when all people are responsible and moral. In a good society, a wife will never cheat on her husband because she is lovingly devoted to him. Everyone also realizes the necessity of work. But ideally, we all will have self-sustaining constructs of some sort that will minimize the need for human labor.
