@martin88488 its just an arcade shooter. weapon physics and sounds are wrong. the bullets of assault rifles have no ballistic. no model of the own player, so just artificially weapon and player moves. the landscape and the vegetation is bulletproofed. complete scripted missions and ki. just little key assignments so not many ways to move (no leaning, look around, weaponmoves = arcadestyle). player can take several bullets without dieing. there is so much more but no more space here to write
the good thing about this game is that you dont have to make your team follow you u could plant c4 then get 2 safe distance or ambush them you can do it as much stealth as you need and you always get new idias once you die of what else you could try and if they dont work use airstrike or artillery and even if that dont work you can have a back up plan or pop smoke and fall back and go arund a more less exposed route

This game's great. Lots of replay value too. Finding new routes, better ways to accomplish your objectives, etc. The attention to detail is amazing. This game feels very authentic. It's all about the single player and online coop mode. It's a shame the other game modes (annihilation/infiltration) aren't any good... I just want to play with other humans man, not AI! :(

i was playing the mission were you have to help the helicopter pilot and at the end of the mission i and my squad (and the pilot) were under heavy fire and the pilot thought it would be nice to stand up and do you know what happens he gets shot up to hell and i had to restart (because it was Multilayer)
One of my good buddies just gave me a web site where he got a copy of this game 100% for free! He was telling me that they offer a different game everyday, I just went there and they were offering DJ Hero purely for free today. I think I'm going to wait until they offer this game again, though. ;)

heres a tip for online, line formation, set the AI's to follow you, and just run, dont sprint towards the enemy, that should push em back and giv em a huge middle finger, and another thing to keep in mind while playing, you are the base of the strategy, if you get your guys to ambush them, sure it will do a big number on them but you are the base of it, the strongest part of the attack and without you, your men might just get slaughtered, i learned that the hard way

2.... it's very old and of2 is an amazing game it keeps you playing all the way to the end plus theres going to be alot of dlc for it witch will give you alot more to do than far cry 2 plus this is more challenging unless you play it on normal or easy.
well i've got the xbox version and there arent many gitches but strangely the grass on the floor turns when you look around b'cus theres so much of it and after the 2nd -3rd mission the ai get slow you could stand infront of a pla soldier and he takes like 30 seconds to atack you and your fireteam sqaud are literally retarded

I enjoyed listening about the whole no arms field dressing application bit. I have some store credit at GameStop, I think around $25 or so, and they're selling it for Xbox 360 for $50. I think I'm going to pick this up. I need a break from MW 2. Something a little less scripted single player wise sounds really fun.

The game-play feels very fluid and keeps you on your toes. I like the option of going wherever I want to go to complete a task. I'm not stuck to the path that someone else has chosen for me. The graphics are top notch and believable. The sound effects are absolutely amazing. I have a decent sound system and was amazed by the immersion I felt from the sound and graphics.
I doubt a lot of COD players are going to get into Flashpoint 2. One thing that I look for is realism, Flashpoint 2 is as good as it gets for the games that are out now.
If you want a tough as shit war game that takes strategy and not just run n gun skills, get Flashpoint 2.
Also this is a mixture Fallout 3, RB6V and COD, but with a ton of realism added.
field dressing thing was prolly a glitch because if you can see that your arms are no more then you were prolly incapacitated and shouldn't have been able to do anything anyway. When the AI is being bombarded long enough they'll ignore ur orders and/or run. or if its the enemy they'll break down into tears, a satisfying sight before put one into the back of their domes. Common sense says to Find cover 1st because there's no point healing during a fight only to risk being shot again in .4 seconds

The ai's are useless except for a distraction or spawn point. This game should only be played on hardcore though. The servers are still laggy some times.

good review mate, liked the anaology of oblivion/fallout. Personally I thought the game was pretty good, I'm a pretty die hard ARMA fan but i think Dragon Rising fills quite a nice gap between a more standard FPS and a tactical simulation shooter.
switching weapons and going prone at the same time does not exist..you can only switch between weapons one at a time..its slow.....sniping is ineffective...you can't really snipe from a distance..the 50 caliber sniper rifle is much use as a rain coat in a heat wave..
It's definately a well executed game and I have little to complain about. OFP2 is not for a gamer who favors a fast paced arcade style shooter, but for the gamer that likes to recon the battlefield and pain stakingly snipe on enemy positions, then it is super bad ass. I like to snipe while sending my team to go in and do the dirty work. The high ground is key.
the game was never finished %100..i like the strategy and the open world but changing between weapons and going prone at the same time is very slow - you can only make moves one at a time.
i dunno its kinda hard to go prone and change weapons at the same time in real life which is what i think they were going for but ya i agree its def not 100% could be much more refined

yeah the islands big but how do you get an oppurtunity to explore it ? cus when im on a mission if I DO get a hellicopter i get like 500m away from my objective it says go back so whats the point in having tht big island and not bein able to go round it ??

This game doesn't relate to Fall Out 3. OPF2 and FO3 are both completely different type of games. If you really wanna compare it to something, Compare it to BF2: Reality Mod (Really good), ArmA2 (Kicks Ass!). IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT LOOK IT UP.

no no noooo don't get far cry 2 because 1..it gets boirng after you get to the second island
2.... it's very old and of2 is an amazing game it keeps you playing all the way to the end plus theres going to be alot of dlc for it witch will give you alot more to do than far cry 2 plus this is more challenging unless you play it on normal or easy.

well i've got the xbox version and there arent many gitches but strangely the grass on the floor turns when you look around b'cus theres so much of it and after the 2nd -3rd mission the ai get slow you could stand infront of a pla soldier and he takes like 30 seconds to atack you and your fireteam sqaud are literally retarded

I enjoyed listening about the whole no arms field dressing application bit. I have some store credit at GameStop, I think around $25 or so, and they're selling it for Xbox 360 for $50. I think I'm going to pick this up. I need a break from MW 2. Something a little less scripted single player wise sounds really fun.

its a game you have to be patient with its realism frustrates alot tof people including myself. but i still keep trying i dont dis this game and get mad like some of theses ppl. THIS GAME IS HARD!!! careful planning in your attacks is key. but if you like to run and gun you got the wrong game this aint halo or codmw2 its in a class of its own.

The game-play feels very fluid and keeps you on your toes. I like the option of going wherever I want to go to complete a task. I'm not stuck to the path that someone else has chosen for me. The graphics are top notch and believable. The sound effects are absolutely amazing. I have a decent sound system and was amazed by the immersion I felt from the sound and graphics.

I doubt a lot of COD players are going to get into Flashpoint 2. One thing that I look for is realism, Flashpoint 2 is as good as it gets for the games that are out now.
If you want a tough as shit war game that takes strategy and not just run n gun skills, get Flashpoint 2.
Also this is a mixture Fallout 3, RB6V and COD, but with a ton of realism added.

field dressing thing was prolly a glitch because if you can see that your arms are no more then you were prolly incapacitated and shouldn't have been able to do anything anyway. When the AI is being bombarded long enough they'll ignore ur orders and/or run. or if its the enemy they'll break down into tears, a satisfying sight before put one into the back of their domes. Common sense says to Find cover 1st because there's no point healing during a fight only to risk being shot again in .4 seconds

The ai's are useless except for a distraction or spawn point. This game should only be played on hardcore though. The servers are still laggy some times.

good review mate, liked the anaology of oblivion/fallout. Personally I thought the game was pretty good, I'm a pretty die hard ARMA fan but i think Dragon Rising fills quite a nice gap between a more standard FPS and a tactical simulation shooter.

switching weapons and going prone at the same time does not exist..you can only switch between weapons one at a time..its slow.....sniping is ineffective...you can't really snipe from a distance..the 50 caliber sniper rifle is much use as a rain coat in a heat wave..

i had this epic headshot from like 600 meters w/ the scar in the second mission.
You just pull out the binos, use the laser range finder, calculate for the bullet drop and flight time and BAM.
but 1st you have to figure out how far the round will travel and which mildots mean what range.
ITS MEANT TO BE HARD BECAUSE SNIPING IN REAL LIFE ISN'T EASY EVEN TRYING TO HIT A DEER FROM 500 METERS IS A TOUGH SHOT FOR A N00B.

It's definately a well executed game and I have little to complain about. OFP2 is not for a gamer who favors a fast paced arcade style shooter, but for the gamer that likes to recon the battlefield and pain stakingly snipe on enemy positions, then it is super bad ass. I like to snipe while sending my team to go in and do the dirty work. The high ground is key.

It means u have been injured in that area, not that uve been dismembered entirely.. But yeah this game aint for COD fan boys, and im glad COD MW2 is out soon so hopefully they will buy that instead and leave us sim fans play this
