  • Agent Smith explains this already in The Matrix

  • His stupid theories don't transcend a random high school stoner's pot-induced rantings.

  • lol joe rogan for president

  • Joe, if we were fucking multidemensional beings who lived on fucking light, we would still be living like "bacteria", off of a host. Everything needs to feed off something to survive. Lay off the droogs retard.

  • Comment removed

  • i like his thought of humanity i haven't heard any1 compare us to bacteria yet and i think its a cool view of us in a whole much better than thinking we are some almighty race better than all life like other views he has a longer video about this where he goes into more depth

  • redban...Tryptophan was taken in high school back in 1985 and we all used to take it...cudos to you...rogan had no idea...xanthathin was taken too for tanning...cory everson used to sell her soul for roids and the Weiders made us all juice head wannabees...the world was fucked up then and now...most info is false...and yes japan outlawed tryptophan and then came out with drugs antidepressants...

  • I think we are interstellar honeybees that will eventually pollinate the stars with the life here on earth. I think we are 5 sensed 5 fingered tendrils of a self-aware system of nature that is here to enjoy itself and that we have dominion over the land, sea, and air, and eventually stars. We are made in the image of creation itself, and our potential is infinite. The cancer is a natural growth that stems from the ego and it will self-destruct and consciousness will rise from its ashes.

  • if i was an intelligent life form from another planet id know that the 10 percent of rich control the world and i could control the earth by controlling them hmmmm....makes you think.

  • I thing about people and earth in the same way, and I was surprised that I never heard on TV that theory among all those weird theories. Rogan, thank you for I eventually find that someone else think the way I do. :)

  • joe fuckface rogan pushes steroids on kids who want to be natural....

  • it scared people just as much to think the world was round. so, if a person can't grasp it, then whatever.

  • Ima Fuck Shit Up in the Name of Joe Rogan

  • Be*

  • @bustballz you must me religious.

  • what a dingbat, moron. the guy is so dumb it's scary.

  • @bustballz how do you know he is wrong stupid. God your as dumb as your comment.

  • @bustballz Actually his explanation is quite good! And this is coming from biology major!

  • This just blew my mind

  • Joe that is exactly the purpose your infernal father has given you. To destroy.

The "spiritual" entities you have "contacted" on DMT are demons who know you will accept a pretty image over their true appearance.

Look at your message now. YESHUA bar YHWH is the only source of life all else is death eternally. You need guidance brother and you are following the wrong teachings.

  • @YeshuaisShekinah lol at you my friend

  • @wonderboy7423 Laugh all you want and mock me because of my faith in ADONAI, that is incense and honey to me.

  • @YeshuaisShekinah peace bub : ) just love

  • @wonderboy7423 Yes sir, Love. We all need to live up to it the best we can in YESHUA's name. Only the mistakes are ours.

  • @YeshuaisShekinah you live you life however you want, im gonna live mine for me and the people i care about, not imaginary characters

  • @wonderboy7423 When you stand in front of the throne on judgement day please remember those words.

  • @YeshuaisShekinah will do :)

  • What about animals? Do they eat the sandwitch as much as we do?

  • If only more people could think logical and reasonably like him. Not the book-smart type necessarily ,,but the deep thought process that hes has in which he can analyze so rationally and fairly surpasses even many politicians.

  • Yes and no Joe, yes and no...god damn hippies!!! Ahhhhhuhuh huhuh hey beavis. Check out cold play i think hes gay.....ahhhhhhh

  • I might not wholeheartedly agree with this, but i gotta admit, this was really fuckin cool.

  • Joe you seriously rock my life! but i disagree. The difference between us and Mindless/ brainless bacteria is that we have the ability 2 change our thought process through education & through understanding. There r hundreds of examples of organisms in nature that co-exist & do not destroy a "host". The problem is we have been taught to live a certain way in this world, & unfortunately the way we are currently living is detrimental to nature. GOOGLE search "the venus project" to see what I mean.

  • @spideys2 Yeah, because the venus project has been doing SO WELL over the past 5 years! Go watch some more zeitgeist, faggot

  • @ienjoydmt to someone who uses the channel name ienjoydmt - that statement is not psychedelic at all. Should be more like ienjoyfalseego... peace

  • @spideys2 I disagree. 1.) An Atom contains a nucleus as it's center and electrons surrounding it, similar to the Sun and the planets that revolve around it. Who's to say that this pattern continues to infinity and that there are larger more complex organisms than we are. 2.) No matter what humans and other organisms are still going to use limited resources in order to survive. There are some parts of the earth that are scarce on fresh water suitable to drink. How do you replenish that?

  • People are not the same as bacteria. We have a conscience, an intellect and most importantly, the ability to make decision. Bacteria has no say in what it does. It's behaviour and destiny is driven solely by it's biology. People have free will.

  • Joe is the shit.

  • Yep, Lice, said the same exact thing to my wife last night. Go to google earth and slowly zoom down lower and lower... You can see the veins, etc......

  • Let me tell you something Joe Rogan. I smoke rocks.

  • @moneybagbiscuits true story

  • Joe Rogan does acid

  • That was really well said. We are just earth cancer.

  • Joe Rogan tells the Truth.

  • Comment removed

  • Joe - I like your integrity - there is alot of truth to what you say - we need to be in balance or we are going destroy ourselves - the "sandwich" is finite ... check out the movie Zeitgeist by Peter Joseph please,

    Peace,

  • @helpmeimflesh I'm pretty sure he ripped of his entire speech of Zeitgeist :P

  • rogan watch your sniper war view and Mars view sir...

  • Look at the contradiction of the top comments lol

  • joe rogan is deep

  • "I think we're here to eat the sandwich..."

This is why I love the true comedian's comedians... The skilled ones craft metaphors so simplistic thy can only be understood esoterically.

  • Wow.

  • NewsRadio is a cult favorite.

  • If we eat the sandwich we fuck ourselves over. We'll have nothing left to sustain us

  • @1Pantikian we have been eating the sandwitch since the industrial revolution, doesnt seem like anybody is slowing down.

  • Guess he smoked a big one before that interview!!

  • Love Rogan. But I can guarantee that this isn't his own unique theory. These Ideas have been around...

  • @KautiousKat I don't think it's about it being his own unique idea as much as it is sharing knowledge.

  • @DopplerDefect Good point! It's a valid theory.. We take up too much room, with no conciousness...

  • smoke another joint joe... lol na but he has some good points

  • I thought i was the only one that thought like this.

  • Its great to have a famous person like Joe that speaks my beliefs in a public forum. We love you Joe!!

  • any one who feels anger from this is just too scared to acknowledge that life has no answer or real meaning. Thinking you know answers fucks your whole life up. Its best to just have abstract theories like this that follow along with the idea that there is no real answer, life is just one big fucking mystery. does it really mean anything if we "save the planet"..... probably not. I personally just want to have a life full of great experiences. Look up existentialism, think about it.

  • There could be a key difference between humans and bacteria, if we can figure it out... and that is to control population growth (and hopefully stagnate this effect)... which is the root of our destruction.

you can cut per capita emissions by 20% but if your population outgrows that then all innovation is offset.

  • Joe rogans view on the planet is not wat interests me. its how he breaks down the very cells of our being and existance. he strives to discover and recover. i find him the most interesting person and does what most dont want to which is face reality and look it in the eye.

  • lol very interesting but hilarious too

  • What an egotistical ass hole go ahead and eat the sandwich this is why you joe rogan will never be on the level all you will ever be is a dip shit in a backwards hat go ahead and smoke all the dmt you want joe rogan it dosent mean you know shit bro...

  • @MrSadisticFuck egotistical?

  • damnnnnn

  • lol such a negative way to look at it, I agree with top comment though,

  • @burnthesystem11 coming from a guy whos name is "burn the system" you sir, are a hypocrite

  • haha what?! How can joe rogan think are purpose in life is to "fuck shit up"? unbelievable

  • We are you, you are we. its ALL a fuc... illusion.

  • if earth is a sandwich then does that mean god is a woman?

  • @Kittfest123 lol god is a women and a man and a dog, god is us and we are god

  • @Kittfest123 hahaha

  • hi im a human dont mind me, im just here to fuck shit up and eat a sandwich

  • Nice fatalistic philosophy Joe. What a douche.

  • chroniccrossi89 is a terrified, delusional, faggot stalker. He is obsessed with the dicks of many men and fantasizes about being raped by all of them at the same time.

He is stalking me and cannot stop thinking about me. For the sake of his own mental health, someone needs to help this weak and homosexual child immediately, preferably by killing him (lol).

Sup, chroniccrossi89? Still the world's biggest faggot? Your entire youtube channel is dedicated to your obsession with me. LOL :)

  • Very convenient philosophy to have while riding around in a limo. Fuck Joe Rogan.

  • @semajsmadda1 Wow, get that sand out of your vagina and listen to what he's saying. He never claims that he isn't "eating the sandwich" or that he's better than the ones that do?

    Fuck semajsmadda1.

  • @ackwell11 "I think we are here to fuck shit up". Why don't you try listening to what he is saying before defending him. Dumb mother fuckers like you that don't give a fuck about preserving this planet disgust me. What a selfish god damned ideology. I personally want as many future generations as possible to be able to experience life. and do not condone urban sprawl and all of the shit that comes along with it. I do my best to do as little damage as possible.

  • @semajsmadda1 Yeah you keep doing "as little damage as possible" and see if that gets you anywhere or if your life becomes more enjoyable or meaningful. Me? I'm going to enjoy my fucking life while it lasts.

  • @ackwell11 Exactly. You are the mold he was speaking of. No wonder you were offended..

  • @ackwell11 Enjoy your life of no meaning.

  • @semajsmadda1 exactly it's like hi i'm joe organ talking about my abstract philosophy ideas, but hey i'm here to fuck shit up, he's just another millionaire actor with , power "MONEY" , influence, and a lot of time on his hands to think up abstract ideas that are very appealing, but we on youtube are on this strange one way relationship where we idolize him and waste our lives viewing him and his ideas. FORM YOUR OWN IDEAS PEOPLE . DON'T DRINK THE KOO-LAID ! life is too short....................

  • @semajsmadda1 Thanks! :D Enjoy your life of failing miserably in your attempt to "save the planet".

  • Damn Joe Rogan, you crazy!

  • no one cares if you agree or not it dosnt matter its an opinion

  • things i dont agree with

There's good bacteria and bad bacteria and i didn't get anything that he said cuz just didn't make sense

Secondly human's are not destroying this world, Greed is and it can be found in any specie. It's just that we have enough mental ability to use greed to our advantage. But not all humans are destroyer. Actually 90% humans are not

  • @324582782 Greed is produced in scarcity. As for the animals, look up a man named Robert Sapolsky.

  • @324582782 People see other people getting more shit, big tvs, cars,& other crap,so they choose to live like that.No one put a gun to someones head and said you'd better buy more shit or im going to kill you,if you dont. If people didnt worry about what other people have, they wouldnt get more shit that they dont need,& wouldnt fuck up the world more. You take responsibilty for you're own actions.

  • @324582782 I agree with you that not all humans are here to destroy the world but its more than greed.

  • George Carlin said it best

The planet is fine.... The people are fucked! The planet will be here a long, long time after we are gone... It will heal itself, it will cleanse itself...

  • @jhightful lol

  • Agreed, Joe, and I commend your truth, but we aren't here to eat the sandwich. The point of life is to make the world a better place.

  • damn hes more high than me

  • this motherfucker didn't even know Van Halen with David Lee Roth got back together 4 years ago...

  • Actually, a lot of the bacteria in our body (particularly the bacteria in our stomach) is not only beneficial to us but absolute necessary.

  • If you don't agree with this go live in the forest and eat dead leaves.

  • Hes so intelligent because he smokes pot!

  • No... Earth is a spaceship...

  • FUCK SHIT UP! FSU BABY!

  • I agree with everything but the last point. We are sentient beings, not here to "eat the sandwich" but to take care of this beautiful planet we call home. We learn. I would hope that mistakes made would be learned from and our behavior modified so as to correct any future flubs. At this point in time we are seeing the damage we have done to our home (the planet) and their are people working to make changes in correcting that damage.

  • I do not think their are enough with this particular mindset yet to make the drastic change that is necessary.

  • @LadyLauretta Only takes a couple of months to get this mind set.

  • @LadyLauretta for real . i love this plant , but i hat most people and society and to much shitty human development

  • @LadyLauretta

there is a fact about evolution - "evolution has no goal their is no forward direction that evolution is striving to reach - evolution is driven by selection processes that only the best survive" so in a sense the goal of evolution is survival therefore it can be argued that the most advanced organisms can survive in any condition....that was we do we survive every where, the desert, the arctic even in space....the cost of survival....this planet, its how we work!

  • @TheTycarroll ...be that as it may. Evolution is a survival tactic, one that teaches what works and what doesn't, if we learn we would figure out how we should survive. Meaning what we have been doing is killing ourselves and that is no way to survive. Did I say that right? :)

  • @LadyLauretta

that is a good point however evolution is a much slower process than universal decay (us destroying the planet effectively through the release of energy that has been sorted here via sun - thereby increasing entropy) so yes i guess the next step would be to survive in a sustainable fashion (bacteria are much older than humans and they still can't do it!) so evolution might not have enough time to generate beings that can do this!

  • @LadyLauretta I understand you take a much more positive view of it, (which is probably more mentally healthy) however to assume we are here to take care of the earth is a bit of a arrogant statement. We haven't been here long enough to be the protectors of this planet and chances are we won't be here long enough to ever call ourselves that. (human race that is) All I think we do is try and mediate the damage we cause in the first place, & we suck at it to be honest

  • @LadyLauretta Thank you, you said exactly what I was trying to type for the last 5 minutes. Some people talk as if our total destruction was inevitable, but it's not. Alternative energy, alternative fuel sources, regulations, all this stuff isn't being developed for nothing. If it will work, that remains to be seen...but there is definitely still a chance that it will work. Human kind is not done just yet.

  • @LadyLauretta To what end though? We will still destroy the Earth eventually (resources) we are just prolonging our life by essentially puting our food on ice. But the ultimate goal for us is to save Earth long enough to find another planet, star or whatever the hell it may be to survive off of. For us to survive somthing else must die, there is no way for human beings to survive without destroying somthing else. It's sad but at this day and age we can't do much about it.

  • @LadyLauretta if that were the case , you wouldnt be the minority . the majority of the population wont learn or change . we are a virus taking over , people like you are pain medication for a terminal cancer patient ...... you can fight the good fight , but the end is inevitable . just deal with it and shut up .

  • @LadyLauretta I like your line of thinking except for when you said we're here to "take care of the beautiful planet." The last thing this planet needs is anything to take care of it. It doesn't need anyone looking after it. It could do just fine on its own. It has this perfect ecosystem where every part of it works in harmony with every other part. It doesn't need a caretaker. I agree that we SHOULD take care of it, but to say that that's our purpose here just seems kinda silly.

  • @LadyLauretta I think you and Joe are both right. If you look at human society as a superorganism, at the current stage in our superorganism's evolution, we're more or less a parasite on the earth. But eventually, we may evolve to have a symbiotic relationship with the Earth, much like the E. Coli in our intestines have evolved to have a symbiotic relationship with the human organism, if you can see what I mean. It'll just take time.

That's my theory, at least ;)

  • @LadyLauretta Why would we be here to take care of the planet, if it can take care of its self? Earth was perfectly fine without humans.... Therefore that cannot be our role in the environment.

  • @LadyLauretta why do you think the planet need us to take care of it? Like forest management which is a complete failure.

  • @LadyLauretta yeah yeah yeah, go shove another idealistic cock up your ass and down your throat. We are not "here" for any specific divine purpose, we are simply here. now. You are free to continue to hope that the "best" aspects of humanity will some how shine through all of the ignorance, chaos, and untold powers of destruction we've created; but please do so with a boulder sized a grain of salt in your eye...

You pretend to see, but you used "their" when you should have used "there are"..

  • @LadyLauretta also:

    BOOOOOM!

  • so the moral of the story is:

"I think we are here to eat the sandwich"

  • ROn PAUl

  • Comment removed

  • We are a VIRUS on planet Earth.

  • An atom, or an accumulation of atoms, makes up any physical matter. Our galaxy resembles an atom. The planets revolving around the sun are like electrons revolving around the nucleus of an atom (the sun). Iv'e always always wondered if our galaxy is just one atom in a larger object.

  • matrix -humans are a virus

  • LMAO

  • Samich, samich, samich!

  • Whoa...

  • I hate "douche bag, go go plata, bong burner" Rogan but she's got a point!

  • Wow he is incredibly insightful

  • Lol Rogan stick to MMA, dumbass on too much weed. smart UFC commentator, scientist fail.

  • @NocturneLover808 It's a theory. He admits to what he doesn't know. He presents deep ideas in a interesting and entaining way. He promotes good behavior and looks out for humankind by getting people thinking about the issues we currently face. He doesn't claim to be a scientist and by no means is he a dumbass.

  • "i think we are here to fuck shit up" true words of a genuis

  • I love your thought process Joe. Keep up the good work!

  • people are a fucking cancer

  • 1:28 - 1:44 is flawed.

  • @asdfqwertyfour true

  • This just seems like a rambling on the whole 'we're a virus with shoes' thing. Well, at least Bill Hicks was concise and made you laugh when he said something like this.

  • "I think we're here to fuck shit up" Yes sir. Yes sir, we are.

  • And who said weed was bad for ya? If anyone isn't yet convinced that some weed could benefit them, just watch this clip. You get small chunks of the secrets to the universe in every trip.

  • Wait... Eat The Sandwich?!

  • George Carlin... i miss you

  • i love joe but he fuckin always talks like he knows everythin, fuckin hairy red faced whitey bitch

  • @dauseraddict He clearly states at the start ".. a complicated version.." he's very pro evolution and all that, he has a point though. It's actually a point made by many people for many centuries... the movie The Matrix touches on this really well as well.

  • Sounds like Rogan was in that weird dark face thats are like the afterthoughts of a bad trip. It all gets very negative, people suck (and a lot do) and you still have this weird feeling of being a little more evolved cause now you get it and are into the phase of acceptance. Anyway, ive heard him in some recent interviews and he seemes to have drastically shifted his point of view...

  • the mold on the sandwich, bread, was discovered in switzerland to be lsd.

  • Earth isn't fighting off human bacteria very well

  • That guy driving just got mind raped.

  • Joe Rogan: A man who reads or hears any number of trite ideas and then extrapolates on them to the point of absurdity.

See also: Men who like to hear themselves talk; opinionated celebrities; and banal musings

  • Oh come on im getting a bit tired of rogans bitter and simplistic views.

we are way more complex than bacteria or other life forms. unlike bacteria not all not all people are the same .human beings can adjust and evolve. they have insights and are driven by more complex forces.

  • @dauseraddict Since when are all bacteria the same, and since when can they not evolve or adjust?

  • i was talking about the bacteria of the same type....

you are right they do "adjust" and "evolve" but not in complex or spiritual ways.

dont get me wrong. i am not in awe of human beings but to compare them to bacteria

is more than just absurd. there are human beings who do live in total balance with their

environment and some even live selfless lives and in ways that seem to contradict human nature.

weadjust and evolve in very unique ways. rogan needs to stop being so bitter and simplistic

  • @dauseraddict Humans can evolve? To be honest humans haven't evolved for say 4000 years and possibly even further back. However what we are doing is changing our environment to better fit us. Now what i just wrote can be a sugar coated form of saying we humans are actually killing our environment and our planet just to make our lives easier. Scientist had even stated that it is not likely for humans to "evolve" any time soon. I'm not saying we are bacteria but who knows he could be correct.

  • @dauseraddict also as to the host for life thing.. humans are an organism as well as a host for life. the earth is only a host for life.. its a rock that hosts life.. not an organism

  • i said the exact same thing when i was ripped out of my mind

  • we can cultivate food on the sandwich and eat that food.

we don't need to try (in vain) to eat the whole sandwich. We'll kill ourselves w/ war & plagues long before the sandwich (Earth) even has a REMOTE chance of dying.

I'm therefore more concerned about our relationship to our Earth and to each other than I'm concerned about the Earth in itself. Let's not go too crazy, let's be smart, let's be reasonable, and it'll be alright. If we're not reasonable, then I'm worried about us.

  • @macdaddylorenzo With religion and the government controlling every aspect of our lives, we, as a people, cannot, in any way, be reasonable. Free thinkers are the only people who understand the concept of life and reality. If people leave everything to the government and put full faith in a higher power, the government will always have control over us because we don't think for ourselves. The government will use religion and our faith in it to make sure they stay in power. Government=bankers

  • It's amazing that someone can vulgarize and see the bottom bottom-line of things. This is some thick shit explained in such a simple way that monkeys can understand. And still there's a lot of people that don't like to hear that. That's why "Occupy "insert your city name" is not working. We let psychopaths run the economy, and now that the economy is falling apart, people go in the streets and tell the psychopaths: Please stop!" ? LOL. It's time for a change, a management change. NOW.

  • @ericbombardier Time for full change of our human culture. Our idea of economy is horrible. Does not work and has proved that it cannot work.

  • @CntthnkO15 "Our" idea? Nobody has a clue about how it works! Nobody cares. That's the whole point. Nobody knows how it works and a few hundred people are making billions of billions with it. And as long as your fellow neighbors have their shitty jobs to pay for their iPhone 25 and Windows 37, nobody cares! Oops, jobs are going down now. haha But don't say it's not working, because it is working. In the sense that we all get something out of it.

  • @ericbombardier Lol, you're right to point "our idea" out. It really isn't our idea. But I don't agree with you when you say nobody knows how it works. I know how it works, it's horrible. It's literally made to fuck people over. LITERALLY! YouTube: "The best cartoon ever made the American dream" It is not working, clearly.

  • Makes lots of sense actually, we are here to fuck shit up too. We as a whole devour everything in our path and make everything that's beautiful ugly. No matter how much you dont think you fuck shit up on a daily basis, even the human with the smallest carbon footprint is fucking shit up cause you gotta eat and drink etc

  • "We are here to eat the sandwich."

  • @RandomConcepts he said that in this video artard

  • I was waiting for the limo drivers head to pop out and say "Hey cock suckers" and it was joey diaz

  • Chance can't account for living creatures. Have you heard of the monkeys typing away randomly? The idea is that if there are enough of them and enough time, one will replicate the works of shakespeare, by chance.

Complexity destroys this idea. To get one sentence (100 characters) the letters have to be in a certain order. So it's 1/26 x1/26 x1/26 etc, out to 100 places. To find one sentence would take more opportunities than there are atoms in the universe. Life is more complex than language.

  • joe rogan reminds me of the late 90s when the triple stack buddahs and the nasty liquid in the sweet breath bottles was around. lol. theories and explanations and umm "what was i just saying???" ;)

  • Abbeyroadish -

Do you think any other species would do better, if they found themselves both imperfect and in possession of free will? What you wrote serves more as a condemnation of free will than of humanity. A nice pasture planet is what we need, then? You only find the real secret to happiness - love based on a willingness to sacrifice - among creatures with free will.

  • Joe, an alien looking down would see structure, which would tell them that intelligence is there.

We're not here to fuck shit up, we're here to spread life as far and as wide as possible, because this is probably the only place where it exists.

  • @GregBuls false. we humans have caused more harm then good
