One of the best songs recorded by Al who has been my favourite Irish singer for decades. He was guest in my home in Amsterdam in the late 1970's where he gave a great performance at a festival organized by the "Draailier". Al was a modest, generous man, not only with his songs but also with valuable advice. I was a novice at the uilleann pipes and he told me I should see Seámus Ennis. Al had a high regard for Seámus. Al is still performing and I hope to renew the acquaintance some day. Thanks!
Dedicated to Christine with love.
