Mel McDaniel is indeed a legend when it comes to country music. The sad thing, though, is that he is perhaps the most underappreciated and underrated singer in country music history. He never really received credit or fame that he so richly deserved. He is still one of the best in my book, though!
@sirradiodude This is indeed Mel McDaniel. My guess is that was in either late 2008 or early 2009. But I know for a fact that it was at the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa, OK.
