I'm a reporter of the non-TV variety, and the least they could have done was call 911 right away. It's more important to get an ambulance on scene than blather away for a full minute on what everyone just saw. There are codes about "not getting involved in the story," but clearly no one would fault you for doing all you can to help victims of a car wreck.

For those of you who don't seem to realize this, you should never try to help someone in this situation. A medical professional should be the one to help. An untrained person helping in a situation like this can actually make matters worse if the woman in the car is seriously injured. I am sure someone was calling 911 immediately.

i do believe he should have checked on them, but professionally, and practically, it is much more safer for him not to touch, move, or do anything with the victims, most accident deaths occur when the victim has neck and/or spinal injuries. moving the victim is not a good choice at all for anyone without EMT Certification. Please, ask them if they are okay, but under NO circumstances ever move, or let a victim move themselves. unless the victim is in directly in harms way.
