No, crayons cannot be used. They are too oily and no the right consistency. You need chalk to shade it. Hope this helped :)

@nuthinbutvideos the best way to preserve polymer clay is in plastic bags, or if it's a big thing, in a box with no air, that is the trick :3

(if it's a plastic box, be sure yo put aluminium paper around, or else the clay will stick to it, and slitly melt the box where it got attached)

Easier way to make the ice cream look realistic... get tin foil and roll it into a ball or wrap it over the ice cream and pat it on it. (I suggest rolling the tin foil ball.)
