Not really sure I just saw some one doing that once in CoD4 with a pistol and it looked like he was clapping so ever since then i have done it....xD But that is a tactic you can use to cancel reloading animations and weapon switching animations its called Y, y or for Ps3 triangle triangle, or for PC whatever button you have for weapon switch twice..
