  • Great stuff man....still building mine....working on the y now and trying to figure out which way to go for the end bearing blocks and trying to make my y ball screw work for me...

  • Very informative and useful information as always, thanks again

  • If you want good torque then I'd use a finer pitch screw. Maybe 5mm or 10mm. A good strong motor helps as well. The pitch on my CNC is around 5mm for the X and Y and 10mm for the Z. A finer pitch screw will also be harder to move by hand so it has a added brake effect when not rotating. Larger pitches can work but you usually have to throw a much larger motor or gearing at the mechanism. Thanks

  • can you tell me the guy with fast pcb machine

  • how can you find the prefect pitch, from motor torque or speed required. what i am trying to tell is if you get fine screw to gain speed motor have to move fast so less torque but the torque is increased by screw pitch.so for torque what is best thing torque by screws fine pitch or motors low rpm. I think you get my question if not ask again

  • first comment eh? Thanks for the video, lots of good info as always! I've been toying with the idea of building a machine in the future, these videos will be very heplful.
