  • Still my favorite book by far. I would really like to know which parts of the story are true and which are twisted though... Like the root canals ;_;

  • i am from america and i support you

  • the host has a really sexy radio voice

  • ya I don't care either he touched my family's heart<3

  • He has the right to lie, but he should have at least put it under fiction and said "bassed on a true story"

  • If the message of the book is about overcoming personal obstacles, then the specifics don't matter. If I said "yeah I overcame my alcoholism by breeding cats" when I actually did it by breeding dogs, it doesn't matter. If you are inspired by it, that's all that counts. Oprah has a lot of nerve calling out someone else on "fabrications" when so much of her own show was based on pseudoscience, quackery and new age woo.

  • the south park towlie episode on this is hilarious! I can't seem to find the real interview anywhere which sucks.

  • Just read it without knowing it may have been fabricated...thought jesus there is tough and tough..really loved the book..did have some doubts but very small doubts...great book ...would love to konw whats shit and what isnt...well done James though great book nevertheless...it got me.....

  • Just read it without knowing it may have been fabricated...thought jesus there is tough and tough..really loved the book..did have some doubts but very small doubts...great book ...would love to konw whats shit and what isnt...well done James though great book nevertheless...

  • IT'S 'FREY' NOT 'FRY'.

  • it's amazing how much "media power" Oprah has. she can keep the interview with Frey off of youtube with money. period.

  • the book is fine, its not about the book being right or wrong, good or bad, true or false. he just should have been honest to begin with and said it was loosely based on his life but also partly fiction, the reason oprah (as much of an ego as she is) and others were upset by the book/author is because he sat infront of them and lied through his teeth stating it was 100% all true and acted the "ive had the hard road card" when really if u read the smoking gun his life wasnt even that bad.

  • What about the movie Fargo? It says it was based on a true story and wasn't. I love how it said that. Who cares if it's true or not. Oprah's dumbass fell for it and is just mad because she thought it was true. LOL

  • wait. He talks about no one writing about LA. Bukowski? This guy is an arrogant tool.

  • I had been working so much that I missed these books and Oprah too. LA is so.....well so....Nothing that the average person thinks it is......will definitely pick a copy up. Good Luck James, xo

  • Oprah is a dumb bitch.

  • the book is amazing, why cant people just focus on that?

  • I don't like this guy's lies or anything, but I'm glad he made Oprah look like an idiot.

  • i funkin hate that duece

  • "You could call it a wink, you could call it a middle finger" haha. I love how Frey's bluntness compares to Jian's delicacy.

  • so was the most famous book of all time.

  • fuckin lieing bitch dike cunt whore slut fuck your life

  • @wuwear1995 What a reasonable and well mannered response.

Tell me, are you 7?? Bceause I can't imagine anyone older than 7 thinking that that is a sensible thing to say.

  • @blinksawesome lol are you really talking down to a 7 year old. have another glass of wine, your to old to comment on youtube

  • lol, what's with the jewish community these days? James Frey, IMF Strauss-Kahn, Eric Cantor doesn't want to fund Joplin tornado victims unless Obama agrees to cuts in general spending. Ben Stein's comments that "economists" don't commit rape, or he doesn't know any. What's the deal guys? Jon Stewart is tired of having to speak up. I'm a Christian and find myself doing the same thing for other Christians. heh. It's kind of messed up.

  • I think this guy is awesome. Laughing all the way to the bank.

  • I think this guy is awesome. Laughing all the way to the bank.

  • She's a mess and an addict and I will never trust that one

  • He doesn't pretend to be modest. I like it how he says about his ambitions...

I read that book when I was about 15 years old and I was so impressed that I was crying while reading, I also had shivers.

It was just a mistake in marketing the book, they did it so that they could sell the book, don't you get it? He isn't even responsible I guess.

  • There is NO book out there (including the Bible) that isn't embellished in some way. Many books are ghostwritten by someone other than the author. Why are people in such a tizzy about this? Are they really that naive to how many books are written?

  • I agree! What little bit of embellishment that was done is irrelevant and it did not affect the main story he was trying to convey. All this non sense about "Truth" is way over board!

  • LOL what a pampered middle class douche. Maybe there was such controversy over your book was because you stated quite categorically that the book was a autobiography rather than a piece of fiction. Douche bag danced with the devil and finally got burnt by great journalism by an internet source, oh the irony. The man has no morale compass and has learnt nothing from his experience.

  • The ONLY reason this guy is read at all is because of his marketing gimmick - selling a novel as autobiography - and thus getting the O stamp that guarantees best-seller status. To poor addicts trying to get clean, he said, "If I could do it, you can." But wait, he didn't do it, he's from a pampered middle-class family, a frat-boy whose parents paid for him to live in other parts of the world. He's a shyster, pure and simple.

  • He's bi-winning

  • Who cares if there were lies? Umm, maybe because he had it published as Non-Fiction.

  • He's a total douche, but Bright Shiny Morning was really good. Anyone who read A Million Little Pieces and thought he didn't make it up is an idiot.

  • that guy is awesome. totally positive and brilliant. kinda ticks me off about Oprah.

  • Yeesh. Kind of a tool.

  • what a pussy lol

  • i LOVE A Million Little Pieces! <3

  • Great camera work and A+ on the studio!!!!! Great Job

  • I really don't care if all the things in the book are true or not, but I know that people do go through things like this or worst then this, and they get more f***ed up than this, it is what drugs and addiction do to you. James Frey is brave for writing and opening the hearts of so many and touching so many people with such a rare style of writing. I don't care if it is true, I just care that the book touched my heart and I will read it no matter if it's true or not. James Frey <3

  • A few years ago I asked my roommate: What did you do today? She said, ¨I went shopping. I called my mom. I went to work. My bro called me. I went to a new bar.¨

She DID do all that. She also saw her ex bf who is an abusive asshole. She also got back with him. She also hid it all from everyone.

Now. Did she lie? She told me what she did but left things out.

When someone tells a story or talks, what they leave out is as important as what they claim to have done. Everyone lies.

  • Of course it matters if he made it up.As a recovering addict I find it most offensive. What a jerk.

  • @discooriginal Why ? It still HELPED PPL get through there addiction what the big deal.

  • @chakazulu87 The big deal is that it was presented as a non fiction book when in fact it was fiction.I was initially somewhat inspired by it, until I found out that it that so many things were untrue. What was I meant to believe? That he was a drug addict, a criminal, an alcoholic, as he pointed out time and time again as if to prove what a hard ass he is.Very few addicts get it first time.He presents himself as some anti-hero but it was bs.It is a serious matter and he lied.Talk about false hope

  • Blahblahblah. This was about "Bright Shiny Morning"...

"A Million Little Pieces" is over!!!!!!!!

    He lied, everyone lies

He gained profit on the naive minds of many people.....

He does the same thing that millions of American's do everyday.

    SO WHAT?

  • @discoduckkk10 touche

  • i thought the book was avrage and what a tool getting caught out

  • I read the first...maybe 7 pages...was sick to my stomach but in those pages kept saying, "this is not real". #1 good writing is good writing whether it's true or not, #2 anyone who thought it was real is insane #3 I think it's unfortunate he became targeted the way he was. As an aspiring writer, I commend him for getting denied by fiction and then approved for non fiction. If you want to blame someone, blame the publishers.

  • honestly who gives a shit, its a book what the fuck is the big deal

  • this guy is a dick. he is so ignorant. "nobody wrote about L.A (...)" !?!?!

  • After reading Foucault's "What Is An Author?" I have a new perspective on James Frey. I no longer care at all to what extent Frey embellished or lied in his book. Nobody cares anymore that Richard Wright's "autobiography" Black Boy has a lot of stuff in it that didn't happen to him or specifically happened to someone else. It doesn't matter.

  • Who cares !! I loved how he was describing the moments! Talented

Everybody lies somehow... I love the book ...Good luck with your new book Mr. James

    KSA like your book :)

  • I just finished this book about 20 minutes ago. It's one of the best books I've ever read and I enjoyed reading it. When I got to the ending, I was kinda like whoaaa. I wish all of it was true. I can't really believe that he altered it but it's whatever.

What I want to know is if the romance he had with the character, Lilly, was true and if she actually died ?

  • Dude, the guy claims it's a memoir so the facts are true...No matter how good the book is he still acted like a crook.

Don't tell me he accidentally set it as a memoir or he got carried away! He knew that it is a factor that boosts your sells. I

    It's despicable.

  • @hayami7 So... You get lied to every single day of your life... You get told what IS beautiful and whats not to boost sells... Where is your big uproar their?

  • doesn't change the fact that the book is still good. Oprah's just mad because she got trolled

  • I will never understand what the controversy was. Who gives a fuck if he made it up and said he didn't? Who did he harm?

  • Even if it was a work of fiction, it still is EXCEPTIONAL.

  • He should have said he was going to alter the book and that it was more fictional than real. Do you know how many people believed what he wrote? The book is well written but still it was not a very good thing that he did. The parent of one girl he described in the book were shocked with the lies he told. He should have done what Sylvia Plath did with The Bell Jar if he was going to alter the story. And that is make a character up based on his life.

  • Just wanted to let you know that I used this video in my review of A Million Little Pieces. Thanks!

  • A Million Little Pieces is THE best book I have ever read in my life. =)

  • i loved this book!!!! it was one of my fav books ever.

  • I loved the book, but to say it's a memoir and then to say that lilli died at the end when she actually didn't is bullshit. We get inspired by true stories and then when someone takes advantage of that and makes money off that is ridiculas. The book was amazing, but he could of handled it alot better. I hoped this interview would have gone better, but it makes him sound like a pompous asshole.

  • Do you muppets not understand that the book would be a lot better if it were completely true?? Yea it's a good book, but stop defending the guy... he made it fiction out of greed.

  • @vod434 If he had stuck to strictly truth, he wouldn't have been able to affect people as much as he did. Literally thousands of writers did the same thing--Joseph Heller based Catch-22 off of his real life experiences, as did Vonnegut. Even Tim O'Brien, who wrote The Things They Carried, took vast liberties. O'Brien even addressed it in his book, going so far to say that it doesn't matter if the FACTS of the situation are the same, as long as you feel the same EMOTIONS as the writer.

  • oh my god who cares if it was made up, it's a good book.

  • A Million Little Pieces is such a silly story about some goof lying about being an addict. As I read I knew the author was nothing like the character. Each tale in this book was over exaggerated and sound totally false to me, a true recovering addict.

  • He is such a boob, pretending that the backlash was because of some king of puritanical American spirit. He tried to present an insultingly obvious fake account of drugs and death and was called out on it (only after fooling his naive fans and Oprah).

  • he exagerrated partsof the book to help him recover and to help his message get across, most fucking memoirs are exagerrated or altered

  • @Tegan420 read the smoking gun's analysis and get back to me :P he didnt jst exagerrate the story he fabricated it! he lied about being in jail for 87 days when he was only in custody for 5hours...thats not exaggerating that bullshitting, he put himself in an accident where two teen girls died, yet he wasnt even at the scene in real life & the parent of one of the girls who died doesnt understand why he said he was. he could have said it was loosely based on events but part fiction but he lied.

  • @infiniteJIRACHI So what???? It is a good book. I enjoyed reading it, you know!!! Stop being so retarted and backward. Oh please, like you never lie or exagerate things. Get over yourself, AMERICA. America do not have a good relationship with the truth anyway. Why you americans always have to turn everything to a scandle???

  • Awesome book. I thought they were gonna make a movie of it...?

  • he is great, I have known many addicts in my life, so from my perspective he is pretty f'n good for not actually living through it himself, I cried, laughed, and reflected my own experiences, liar or fabricator he is a f'n excellent writer and I think it shoulda been obvious anyone who knows addicts of any sort, knows lying is part of the territory, it's to be expected. duh...

  • oprah's a bitch who has nothing better to talk about on her stupid-ass show. SHE'S the real faker.

  • The whole controversy is ridiculous. Books are not necessary for survival, they're an art form. You can write anything you want. What's the big deal? American media is insane, as well as people who take what the media says to heart. The rational man (in this case James Frey) is put down while the loony bins at large have a field day.

  • Okay the book is amazing. But he should have sold it as a work of fiction. It would still have been compelling. You don't mess with Oprah, even Stedman knows that............

  • I dont think he should have lied though. thats not cool...

  • only books i ever read in my life is "Million Little Pieces" and "My Friend Leonard"

  • no matter what hes as an amazing writer

  • Great book fiction or not a very interesting read

  • Opra i hope you see a tv show called south park and the episode is called a million little fibers. I used to like your show but now i hate you and it.Who gives a crap if the book wasn't true.

  • I've never liked Oprah, she's so fucking annoying!

  • I am reading this book for the second time. The fact that this is not real has no effect on me. It is great, it is emotional, it is powerful.

  • who the Fuck cares if he exagerated on some things because he exagerated he didnt technically lie i read the book like 3 years ago in 3days and im reading it again a second time and i love it i dont care if its an exageration so Fuck you Oprah :)

  • This is the best book I have ever read, I am pretty sure more writters make bits up. James has helped so many people turned their lives around,

Keep the books coming to England James. Ps I read the book bout 4 years ago and this is the first I have heard of the "scandle" in England!

  • theres plenty of films, books that are true stories but they change stuff invent new stuff to make it better whats the big deal

  • Comment removed

  • And he did own it so, cool.

  • Fuck Oprah!!!!! Regardless of whether or not this book wasn't 100% truthful, it has helped so many, Oprah should have done the right thing and shut her big fucking mouth. Just because she had her own little axe to grind she had to expose it, and guess what, James looks like a criminal. There is something called the "honourable lie" Oprah should take a lesson from it.

  • @KNT0791 Well said!

  • I love his work. His book has changed my life. His other books are also brilliant.

  • pathological liar

  • I read a million little pieces, and I loved it. It certainly helped me. And let's remember, it's just a book, and author's have the freedom to embelish as they see fit.

  • i'm really confused now! this guy wrote a novel, ok he lied a bit stating that every character was real were they were (umm.. let's say) bit-unreal, although i didn't read the book yet, BUT, why this propaganda? imean, a guy wrote this then he was mistaken saying it was memoir! and please don't tell me because Oprah was offended?! or it seems 2 b that it's because of oprah! cause if that's so then sorry guys, it's Rubbish.

  • honestly. he was hardcore user. when you use drugs for that long, how do you expect to remember all the details and facts. drugs mess you up, and as james frey says , they fuck you up. just leave it alone.

  • This book meant so much to me. I actually went into a book shop wanting to read exactly what this book is, assumed I'd never find it. I picked a book up because I have a thing about neon lights skim read the blurb yet took none of it in but bought it anyway because I liked the cover art. I got it home and found that it was EXACTLY what I was dying to read. Moral of this story: DO judge a book by it's cover!

  • fair play to the bloke

  • I agree with frey,

he wrote a BOOK. I read the book even after I had heard about the controversy it's still thought the book was incredible, without a doubt the best book I have ever read and still felt it inspiring,

  • i love how this guy is blaming americans for reacting to his lies in a supposed MEMOIR! if you're gonna write fiction, then call it fiction. and, don't dupe oprah in the process!

but, it's not how hard a man falls, but that he gets back up. while i'll never read anything this man writes again, i admire him for trying to move on with his life.

  • its fucking imporssible to fake the book he wrote. i know that it was deff true

  • James, will u marry me? ur are the most amazing man ever!!! <3

  • i hate when people just copy Oprah because of HER opinion and personally i dont like Oprah i mean she thinks she can control anything james if ur reading this u rock and u make the best books u deserve more!

  • I'm reading amlp for the third time right now(over half-way done), and just checked out bright shiny morning today from the library. I love L.A. and it's history, so I look forward to this.. Went to his site before bsm came out, and it sounded like he was working on a historical novel--but not about L.A. I enjoyed this interview and am glad he can hold his temper, like he did on Oprah. She has too much of an "I'm above you" attitude. I sure did'nt feel "duped" by his book.

  • im reading the book right now:) i love it. but i was wondering... did he really take ALL those drugs

  • James Frey is a fucking lying sack of shit. He did not have the balls to write a piece of fiction and state it as such so he writes a "memoir" and you know stupid housewives spending all day hanging onto Oprah's last words will buy his rag.

James gets the last laugh since his deception has made him an established "author". Sort of like the Kardashian sisters are a Hollywood "star"

    What a joke

  • Yeah I don't care if the book wasn't real and was basically fake IT WAS AMAZING!! I have read it about 7 times! and his second book was also fantastic!!!!

  • Oprah was clearly unnecessarily harsh on James Frey. Not to mention the whole issue of her misrepresentation of the interview premise. That, dear Ms. Winfrey, was just low. Hypocritical much?

I can't really identify with the people who felt "betrayed" by his fabrication, as I originally read the book knowing of its status as fiction. However, I think drug addicts who felt this way should look at the essence of the story, which is about overcoming drug addiction and alcoholism.

  • I completely agree. I read his book before the controversy and the infamous Oprah stint. I personally don't care. I really like his style of writing and especially dig his attitude !

  • who cares if there are lies this book was SO amazing

  • Just because a books story isn't real, doesn't mean it can't be a good book.

I thought Oprah, someone who owns an offical book club, of all people, would know this.

I don't like Oprah anymore, i used to like her. Oh well, i guess Karma got her - her t.v raitings have dropped.

  • @milesxsmiles a lot of people care. Who gives a shit it its "amazing"? It's all lies.

  • Comment removed

  • i just finished the book. i loved it. he made it up?. who fucking cares? it was a great read n i would read it again. and i would support it.

  • @ashleyyh1234 he only made up a few parts at the end most is true

  • @ashleyyh1234 It wasn't all made up.

  • @ashleyyh1234 exactly haha im almost done yay just found out to its fake tho but i dont care its still an amazing book.

  • @ashleyyh1234 are you people fucking stupid? no wonder why the world is in so much shit. the fucking problem is he marketed the book as non fiction. now i know a lot of you folks out there dont know the difference with all the shit on tv and the fake news but when you write a book you can choose for it to be a novel of fiction or non fiction, makes all the difference.

  • @nexivdr yeah, it's disappointing but it's still a great book and people are allowed to enjoy it.

  • i just finished this book today.

    i loved it

im sad that he never got to be with lilly tho..i heard she killed herself

    :((((

  • Lily didn't exist.

  • lily did exist, he just wasnt in jail for 87 days as he claimed, he was in ohio while she was in north carolina, they were planning on meeting, but she slit her wrists before they could meet, she never killed herself on the day he was released and she never hanged herself...this is all straight from frey himself on the oprah winfrey show...search the interview for yourself

  • @Nadareun Lilly did exist, DON'T WORRY.

  • Okay so I just finished the book. It was a good book. It was intresting and enjoyable to read. I am a early writer (i am 16) but this was a good novel even if he made some of it up. Its just like Agusten Burroghs. My favorite author of all time but they intervied his mother and it seems he fabrocated a good bit of his story. But who cares. Reading to me is about entertainment. If your a fucking crack addict I dont think your going to sit around reading like this. Anyway I dont care either way.

  • What a horrific voice! The new Capote?

  • i think its a great book and a story doesnt need to be real in order for it to be good. and for those of you who read it, theres no way he just came up with every last bit of "A million Little pieces", it might not all be true but theres no damn way it was in his imagination. and its his damn book. no one was forced to read it let alone enjoy it. although i did and i thank him for his time writing the book

  • This is exactly what I have been trying to get across to people who tell me "You know that book is totally fabricated, right?" Well I honestly couldn't care less. Fiction or non-fiction, it was an amazing read!

  • I don't understand why people were so offended when they discovered A million little pieces was partially fabricated. A story doesn't have to be non-fictional to inspire people to better themselves. In the end its the story that counts, not nature of it's writing.

  • Many people who were/are addicts felt betrayed by him because they identified with the story on such a personal level. It was a dramatic yet [supposedly] true story that many felt they themselves couldn't have put into words. Coming out the other side of addiction is a very powerful process and to learn that something which helped you was a lie in many places throughout the book felt like their struggle was being underminded. That's my take on it, not saying those people are right or wrong.

  • I've read all three of his books now and I will read every book he ever writes. His books helped me better understand the addictions that friends and family have struggled, and continue to struggle with.

  • I like James a lot. He seems like a really down to earth, and genuine human being. I really want to read Bright Shiny Morning when I get a chance.

  • I'm reading A Million Little Pieces now and I think he is a good writer. He is very funny even though it isn't a hurmous story.

  • so what if alot of the book was bullshit, it helped people.then again i guess you could say that about the bible too.

  • good book with alot of bullshit

  • He made up the story? Good story.

Anyone ever heard of the bible? Good story. haha.

  • @MissKimberley honestly this is the best comment ive ever read on youtube. your one of the few who rather than argueing u just stated your opinion lol. honestly ppl need to be more like you. I agree completely with what u said and how u said it

  • @MissKimberley i know right. It might not be true :b

  • his book is amazing. although i dislike his attitude who really cares if some of the literature was fabricated

  • It's funny - you'd think from his books that he'd have a tough guy voice or an accent like Dawkins.

It's kinda like the the girl out of Chasing Amy, where you think she'd speak well & she actually has a squeaky voice...

  • nothing is real - it's all an illusion anyway - good for him to play the game government plays.

Think of a law,is a law actual real or just words on paper that one uses to control others. Don't be controlled and you won't be taken advantage of.

good example of how to be YOU

  • the book is amazing. who gives a fuck if it was a bit fabricated. fuck oprah. dumb cunt.

  • it was fabricated quite alot but i love the book and i dont care

  • oprah's a drama queen

  • Great books, but he needs to lose the beard.

  • hel ya this guy is gud wid wat he does......his book got me involved lyk no other book till now.....i dont care how embellished the content is ...its all quality n easy to relate to when u cud hav felt the same way abt life, it gives u a new dimension of the reading experience and i think it breaks away from wat ppl always expect out of a novel. ........ wanna read more of his stories...!!!

  • Jesus Christ man, big deal he makes up a story, that's the point of writing.

Oprah made such a big deal about everything.

Jesus Christ, read some books and you will see that there are more controversial stories then the one this dick wrote.

    Jesus!!!!

  • hates his attitude

  • Hell, I could have written a book about my mom's life from my eyes being dragged through all of it all these years and it would have been completely true and just as shocking

  • it I was going on and on about it to her and I was going to lend it to her... She was a severe alcoholic/ crack addict and has had no word of a lie probably just as bad a life as this NOW fictional character "james frey"... I thought it would give her hope that whatever she has gone through no matter how crazy it was she can leave it all behind her because he did......

  • Despite the fact that the book was "gripping" and I will give it that, it was a huge disappointment for me to find out (coincidentally half way through reading) that he fabricated a lot of it... This was 2 days ago-- I haven't picked the book up since... It's still sitting at page 224 ... My mother just got out of rehab a month ago and when I started reading

  • Amazing author, amazing books, enough said.

  • Bright Shiny Morning was an amazing read - if you like Los Angeles, you should love this book. There is no denying A Million Little Pieces was awesome. I will read anything this guy writes.

  • he's lying! I live in Europe and EVERYONE I spoke to here hates him. He claimed it was an AUTOBIOGRAPHY and he LIED. He's a douchebag!!!

  • this man makes me sick to my stomach! I threw my copy in the trash!

  • It isn't a big deal people write books, who cares if they lie about it. It was still good!

  • I agree

  • yea i want to know what was true and what wasnt!! im just kinda dissaponted that he dosnt have a scar on his face....

  • oprah is dumb

  • It's an extraordinary book, either way. People actually blaming James Frey for relapsing are basically saying that their becoming sober was completely hanging on this man. Which is just like blaming Jesus or whoever is the "power above" in the twelve steps, should they relapse when in that program. This whole rage towards Frey is either people who have misunderstood his way of getting sober and just leaned on him, or followers going on the "rattle rattle rattle!" rant because of the great Oprah.

  • i don't give a fuck if he lied or not....it's still an amazing book. wether or not it's true doesn't really matter all that much. it was still an inspiring story that was written really well. he's an asshole for lying but he's still a really talented author. honestly, people need to just pull thier heads out of their asses and realize that.

  • what's so fuckin sad about this whole thing with this douchebag is that he actually wrote this book, basically saying that 12 step programs are bullshit and don't work and that he got sober on his own. imagine the amount of people that bought into his shit and under his "inspiring" life story decided to emulate him and dump their programs and do it on their own.... i wonder how many of the overdosed trying to be like him??? fuckin' loser...

  • Do you even know what you are talking about? Overdosed trying to be like him? Shut the fuck up.

  • I know exactly what i'm talking about dipshit, more than you'll ever know... writers become role models, which in turn attract followers (i mean, look at you you fuckin' wancka). his premise is fuck NA and all that jazz. well, i'm pretty sure some people went that way and tried to get sober on their own after the frey way. but of course not everyone has the iron will of james... (who is also a fraud)...and didn't manage to do it and ended up using again or dead...get it yet?? so, kiss my ass....

  • ugh!!! this pisses me off, i got SO into this book, it was amazing thinking it was a true story, but now its just a load of shit to me. i honestly just finished it today when my sister told me it wasnt real i almost cryed lol. ugh i hate this man!

  • I'm about 100 pages deep in A Million Little Pieces. I'm going to return the book tomorrow. It makes me sick to know that he lied

  • it was a very very shitty book,& hes a very bitchy insolent man.i read part of it& it started pissing me off, just how damned self richeous & stubborn he was

  • Yea its just a book that put you on the map and made you lots of money. I love how he tosses it aside like no biggie. Maybe ill take my life story, alter a few things to make it sell, call it a memoir and make lots of money and lift peoples spirits. It almost sounds like people approve of this, if its ok for him to lie about a few things why can't everyone else? This is a tough debate, lets hope publishers learn from this before they jump the gun.

  • It's not what he lied about.

It's a book. He helped a lot of people out too.

    It's a book...
