Bicmac.... Learn something about the Sikh faith first before comenting on the kirpan. I revived a full written appology for the abuse I recieved that day and have been invited back to lords next summer.
Listen Bruv....I dont blame the security guards to not letting U in...U can have a small kirpan the size which can fit a neclace around ur neck...but U choose to carry around a big Kirpan...so dont come and complain U can not enter.....and one more thing did Guru Nanak the founder of Sikhism ever carry any weapon...NO....so stop getting sympahti votes.
@bigmac19751234,We dont think the size of the Kirpan the Singh is wearing is mentioned in the above interview, then how did you come to the conclusion that he is wearing a "big kirpan" ?
I suggest you do some research. You mention that Guru Nanak never carried a weapon. In contrary to your point, persian, british and other Europpean Historians all tell us that yes Guru Nanak Dev carried a kirpan.
What a knob head..... If you don’t like it, live in India nobody gives a shit about your religious fanaticism, you practice your so called faith and do nothing for humanity, you people actually think you are better than everybody else, if so WTF are you doing here in the UK is your own country not good enough for you? You people lack lateral think you are non progressive people who don’t have a clue about anything
@supasuba ,This comment is from a typical anti Sikh Bahmanvadi.
Such people know everything about Sikhism and the concept of Khalsa but try to show they are ignorant. They purposely try to abuse and tease Sikhs to show their disgust for Sikhi.
Such people need to be rooted out before they create more problems.
@supasuba Then why did ENGLISH men go to the Americas. Fucking hypocrite. It's how the world works. And the UK fucking sucks, it's for assholes who suck the Queens dick. But some Sikhs go there and I respect that. Having no faith is a bad thing. Now you shut up or you're going to have a knife up your ass if you say trash like that to a guy who wears a kirpan.
@thelegaltrap please don´t be angered, forgiving is better. most acts of discrimination are simply done because of fear!!! (the turban often(alas) produces fear). wish u all the best.
Why the FUCK are we banning a sikh man from cricket, these guys are NOT the problem, never were. Muslims on the other hand, Im all in for banning them.
Would it be acceptable by orthodox Sikhs to secure the Kirpan within a purpose made container secured with a key and kept on the person, with the key for it left with security staff until the end of the event? Obviously a wooden box, of sorts, would need to be manufactured. I have much respect for Sikhs and if I had to choose a religion to follow, it would be Sikhism, without a shadow of a doubt.
I am not Sikh but I understand that Sikhs are required to carry their Kirpans on religious grounds. According to the Criminal Justice Act 1988, it is illegal to carry a knife such as this in the UK (now comes the 'but') unless it can be proved it is carried for religious reasons. I understand the concerns of the security staff in this instance though.
I don't think I will be that stupid to allow an idiot to take my kirpan off me. For the record its not visable, security officers did not even notice it. I told them. Thrives and murderous hide knives... sikhs do not need to hide their kirpan. As its the same kirpan that was called upon in ww1, n ww2.
Faulty hawk.... please read your history..... sikhs have always been allowed to wear the kirpan..... its not a new issue. My ancestors died for this country and help this country in its greatest hour of need
What do expect from an Arse-nal supporter? I don't see which end he is speaking from. It is for his safety as he is a weak little man and an enraged England (or even a crazy Indian fan) can wrestle him down take his kirpan to stab him. I just wonder if he is wearing the full five Ks. Has he a jockey y-front shorts or his khasara (traditional breech shorts)? If he/Khalsa community are so incensed why not go to the court on religious discrimination in services: the link equalityhumanrights
@nitanair100 ,Dont fume.Your writing shows disgust for the Sikhs in general and Khalsas in particular. What else can we expect from a crazy Nair Brahmin or Hindu like you .
By the way the UK is thinking of ratifying this law to allow kirpans. When that is passed it will be slap on people like you.
For you people equality and human rights means to lead life according to your ways only.Others are discriminated.
@nitanair100 we have the full rights as sikhs in Britain cause we died for other ppls freedom if u died for our rights and got the fighting spirit from ur faith how cowardly would we be to tell remove ur faiths identity we r a concept of saint soldiers nt terrorists
sorry, I understand this sikh's right to maintain his religious beliefs, but why should he be exempt from not being allowed to carry a weapon on his person for security reasons just because of his religion? if they allowed him then that would be discrimination. he made the choice to uphold his faith by carrying that blade, though he doesnt intend to use it for violence, he should not be exempt from the laws covering the public and should have kept this in mind when he decided to get baptised.
Sikhs are good people, respectful and welcome here, the only immigrants I like are Indians and Chinese, they respect this land as it is and are a very worthy contribution.
All others I find are useless good for nothing trouble making scum like the Black Nigerian Negroids, Polish and Paki's who either only want to take over or grab what they can from the state showing no respect at all.
great Sikhism only religion who dont convert people .. In sikh temple 24 hours free food everyone is equal no cast system like hindus.... only one god in Sikhism hindus have million gods................. Sikhism ROCKS... PROUD 2 B SIKH
@sjatti66,We dont wish to argue but casteism exists in Sikhism.
You are proud to be Sikh and are against casteism in Sikhism but your id mentions "jatti" !!!
This hypocrisy amongst the new generation which believes in "Khao,Peeyo, aish karo..." "It's cool to be called Sikh.." without understanding Sikhi and without putting it in to practice in our daily lives is leading to decline of Sikhism.
@SikhRevolution Well you are wrong ,Caste system does not exist in Sikhism it only exits among the So called Followers who want to be called as Sikhs, There are also criminals from Sikh community (like in every community) like in Punjab As confirmed by Human rights organization ,the ones which were responsible or killing of innocent Sikh youth, but that does not mean that criminal activity are endorsed by Sikhism .Wat i am saying is ,what some followers do does not mean ,Casteism exist in Sikhism

to see how these same true Sikhs from UK protected mosques during the recent UK riots ,thus bringing Sikh Muslim brotherhood nearer each other.
The Hindu fascists(not all Hindus) have always tried to bring about enemity between various communities including Sikhs and Muslims for their nefarious nazi designs.
@SikhRevolution You are overgeneralizing about Hindus, and not all Muslims and Sikhs play nice with eachother. Some young Muslim men execute Love-Jihad targeting both Sikh girls and Hindu girls, but especially Sikhs because they are sheltered more and thus more naive to their tricks. I am not here to raise your suspicions because there are good Muslims too, my point is just that its not always as simple as it looks, and universals like "have always..." are not too useful.
@BarclayAvenue,Dont know how many such incidents of converting Sikh girls into Muslim have taken place.Any person in UK may be able to give a correct figure on that.
In Punjab anti Sikh girls marry Sikhs, make them drug addicts ,then produce RSS dee aulaad, take over their property and destroy them.Similarly Hindus are marrying Sikh girls in the name of Hindu Sikh unity
All this is happening on a large scale.UK is foreign country where no one is under control but Punjab is birth place of Sikhs.
@BarclayAvenue ,India is the only country where Sikhs are called "Sikh terrorists" in the corporate run Bahmanvadi media. You can see such videos on Youtube also.
By the way we have not forgotten the anti Sikh genocide from 1978 to 1994 which was a deliberate attempt to wipe out Sikhs, their culture, religion and unique identity from Punjab.
@BarclayAvenue ,A true Sikh will not be subordinate to any one nor will tolerate any direct/indirect interference in their religion.Sikh Baagi ya Baadshah.
Their relations with other communities or religions are based on mutual respect and equality.

@theimmortalsinghs ,What is your point ?
We have already stated that casteism has no place in Sikhism. If some follows casteism and calling himself Sikh then he is not a true Sikh.
There is a difference in calling oneself a Sikh and being a Sikh and practicing Sikhi.
