That second engine was an ex-Rock Island or Mopac SD40-2. The dumb part of this is that somebody probably sued U.P. because they trespassed on their property! Then U.P. will have to pay for the engineer's therapy sessions because they had to watch people dying after being hit by their train.

listen the rails were higher than the bottom of the jeep so therefore the jeeps frame was stuck on top of the rail.when a vehicle is in that position no matter if its 4 wheel drive or not you cannot drive it off.it has to be pulled off by a tow truck.dont blame anyone.its was just an accident.accidents happen.

yes this was glamous. Located about 20 minutes north east of el centro ca. Glamous dunes are too dangerous. A lot of drunks on their sand rails and quads. This guy was trying to show off with his offroad jeep. Im sure he had a few beers.

i can't find a lot of pity in my heart for people hit by trains. sometimes it is a tragic accident, but often it is recklessness or idiocy on the part of the victim. you know EXACTLY where the train is going to go -- along the tracks. it is as simple as NOT standing on the tracks as it passes. if your car is stuck on the tracks and you don't get out of it before it is hit, then i'm sorry but you are either suicidal or stupid.
