All he's talking about is buoyancy, all this spinning is exactly how a hot air balloon works. As long as you add heat, the air molecules inside a balloon spins faster than the air outside causing the "antigravity". The problem with hot air balloons is that they are too bulky to control. That's why they came up with jet and rocket engines, it's the same concept, but now you exite the air molecules in a more confined environment and in one direction. No need for alien tech to explain it.

We feel weight on Earth because gravity is pulling us down, while the floor or ground stop us from falling. We are pressed against it. Any ship in orbit around the Earth is falling slowly to Earth. Since the ship and the astronauts are falling at the same speed, the astronauts don't press against anything, so they feel weightless. Does that clarify things? Gravity is a fundemental force
