yeah it can be played with bots, ti comes with a patch i remember but i dont believe quake 4 runs with directx 7. i played it on win xp 1 gb ram, amd sempron and geforce 6200 512 mb video card. of course now i haven't that because i sold the computer, i have a most powerful pc now jeje

they are very important and you need at least Pixel and Shader version 2.0 to play Quake 4

At  least in this game you have friends that help you instead doom 3 where nobody you find helps you in your quest.

Well...I think that's only the storyline...If all the games you get friends to help ya, someone would definitly ask for a game where the story is about being completely alone in the fucking dark xD... I like no assistence at all...just me and 1000 monsters to kill =D but both are good games, but I am playin Dead Space right now, just downloaded =P really nice
