I was in Denver for training many years ago and had the pleasure of meeting Ron at the church I was visiting. He has a wonderful testimony and voice. As a grandpa now....I will be using Ron's songs to help teach my grandchildren God's promises and principals.

Patch the pirate is the best I remeber listneing to his tapes over and over before bed time. And I still sometimes pull them out and sing along with him and his crew. I now know most of them by heart and sometimes catch my self humming them over and over! And I will say it again he is the best!!!

Patch is the best. My girls grew up listening to Patch and meeting him at Fairfax Baptist Temple in Fairfax Virginia when he came for some services. I have started replacing my vinyl LP's with CD's and giving CD's to my daughter to play for her daughter. Rejoice in the Lord, He makes no mistakes!

Patch has always been a big part of My life all growing up. I used to have most of his albums Kookawacka was good but my all time fave was Starry Knight that one was awesome talking about a servants heart that is just an awesome cd to listen to :)

Praise God for this song. This song has been accompanying me for 15 years.

Recently, I learnt that my friend's lung cancer was getting worse. I immediately recalled this song. It says "God never moves without purposes or plans...and we shall come forth as gold!!!"

I I have to tell you a story about my nephew (who is now a reporter on the CBN networ) who I gave one of the first records of Patch to when he was about 5. He was coming to visit & was going to get to see Patch who just happened to be coming to our church & he was so excited he couldn't sleep. He told his mom "You don't understandstand! This is even better than Christmas! My daughter was part of the children's choir and got to sing some of his songs directed by Patch himself.

This song has always had a very strong and tearful message for me. I first heard this from Ron and Shelly when they visited our church back in the muid 80's when my daughter acted in one of their children's plays. "Rejoice in the Lord" has even a more special meaning to me today as a loved one in our family is afflicted with cancer. Thank God she knows the Lord and what she is going through right now is the only hell she will ever know!! Praise the Lord!!

I have grown up listening to Patch the Pirate. Even now as an adult, I still like listening to the newest Patch the Pirate cd's. My favorites are The Great American time machine and Afradika Fever. The latter one I listened to a lot because I have surrendered to serve on the mission field. It also helps to remind me that when you are serving God, surrendered, that you can have a greater impact on other's lives than you know.

It was neat to hear the story behind the song too.
