reason why swg doesnt get the a good return is players dont show the other side of the game only boring gringing the same with other mmos they always show the boring stuff how about an indepth field of all that avaliable like showing the veteran rewards you get in swg that you dont get in wow etc.

Hard to compare the 2 games since Blizzard actully fixes and adds content, and SOE fixes nothing and is in denial that gaming companies should improve things rather than ruin em. SWG use to be alot of fun, and a great game, but..... SOE vision of gaming is as old and laggy as their servers....
they are incomparable, besides the part that you have to pay.. which I hate. But Both are honestly equal to me though, the boredom factor comes from wow personally, because when you die you have to walk so far or use the lady ghost to resurrect you and takes 25-75% durability of weapons....

SWG was and still is the best MMO I have ever touched PRE-CU.
Like others said, neither video does either game justice. It should have shown the mass PvP that MMO's are known for, and other things like the great scenery and better graphics that SWG has or some other things that WoW has (haven't played it all that much).

Alright let's put it this way. WoW is an awful game in comparison to SWG. I have played both for extended periods of time, so no one say I don't have a say in this. I played WoW for about 3 years, I have gotten a player to 70, I have played through every dungeon before. The story for Star Wars is way deeper, has better graphics, better gameplay, so its not my choice what you pick, but I personally like SWG more than WoW. but like WoW a lot too.
Yeah, even though SWG was better designed pre-NGE, it still doesn't touch WoW as far as gameplay dynamics, physics, and most of all; game content. imo
SWG combat, pre-NGE was boring because you had to be fully doc/ent buffed to really do anything, and then you were practically invincible. What made pre-NGE so good was the variety of skills and professions. But, of course instead of almost all BH's and Jedi running everywhere, it was all Combat Medic/Riflemen...because they were uber, of course.
SAme thing like it is now in that case, you need atleast 2 rows of buffs to have 1 chance in PVp now a days, one of my biggest problems with swg(I've only played post NGE).Wow is better imo, you don' t have to be buffed to the teeth to have a chance in pvp, swg is too frustrating
After the NGE, WoW was the better game. The NGE was and still is a boring character system and needs a complete overhaul (like, say, reverting to the original).
Before the NGE, WoW doesn't even stand a chance against SWG. Every single toon was unique in SWG pre-NGE and the game was much richer.
WoW deserves credit for it's mass appeal but I feel like it's "generic". "Vanilla". It was the best of all the Everquest Clones, but now that Warhammer is out, WoW looks pretty sad in comparison.

Wow has easier controls and brighter colors because it is supposed to. It's a kids game. SWG is an adult game, and the graphics and control reflect that.
I played it...gave it up. Got tired of grouping with kids and the way they talk either like 'gangstas' who can't spell a single word right or hit on every female character they see. There isn't a lot of content compared to other games of it's type either. What you do have for content isn't as intelligent as the worst cartoons on TV now.

this vid i dont think comes even close to showing the combat of SWG you r just killing little things u should be in restuss doing some hard core pvp or takeing down some heroic gold elite like the Tusken King or IG88
or something actruly good looking grinding off low lvl things like that is boring sorry 2 say it but Hollo hunting is more intresting. a realy good example of SWG's Combat would be a good PVP Bounty Hunt :D

Like others said, neither video does either game justice. It should have shown the mass PvP that MMO's are known for, and other things like the great scenery and better graphics that SWG has or some other things that WoW has (haven't played it all that much).

Alright let's put it this way. WoW is an awful game in comparison to SWG. I have played both for extended periods of time, so no one say I don't have a say in this. I played WoW for about 3 years, I have gotten a player to 70, I have played through every dungeon before. The story for Star Wars is way deeper, has better graphics, better gameplay, so its not my choice what you pick, but I personally like SWG more than WoW. but like WoW a lot too.

Yeah, even though SWG was better designed pre-NGE, it still doesn't touch WoW as far as gameplay dynamics, physics, and most of all; game content. imo
SWG combat, pre-NGE was boring because you had to be fully doc/ent buffed to really do anything, and then you were practically invincible. What made pre-NGE so good was the variety of skills and professions. But, of course instead of almost all BH's and Jedi running everywhere, it was all Combat Medic/Riflemen...because they were uber, of course.

SAme thing like it is now in that case, you need atleast 2 rows of buffs to have 1 chance in PVp now a days, one of my biggest problems with swg(I've only played post NGE).Wow is better imo, you don' t have to be buffed to the teeth to have a chance in pvp, swg is too frustrating

After the NGE, WoW was the better game. The NGE was and still is a boring character system and needs a complete overhaul (like, say, reverting to the original).
Before the NGE, WoW doesn't even stand a chance against SWG. Every single toon was unique in SWG pre-NGE and the game was much richer.
WoW deserves credit for it's mass appeal but I feel like it's "generic". "Vanilla". It was the best of all the Everquest Clones, but now that Warhammer is out, WoW looks pretty sad in comparison.

yes i read the description. you made sw galaxies have a bad name by just standing in one area when theres like over 20 planets AND u get to fight in space in different sectors of each planet AND you get to even make your own city! unlike WoW u can actually switch factions no matter what dumbass race you are. SWG is the best. no its not dying. i can tell you right now its a thriving community blocked by WoW fanboys. WoW sucks compared to SWG. notice i used the word "compared". WoW doesnt suck bad

Wow doesn't have kids graphics...its just specific that's just the way the world of warcraft does look like and it's been like that for many years now. And imho it creates a beter atmosphere as the swg trying to look realistic graphics.

I played it...gave it up. Got tired of grouping with kids and the way they talk either like 'gangstas' who can't spell a single word right or hit on every female character they see. There isn't a lot of content compared to other games of it's type either. What you do have for content isn't as intelligent as the worst cartoons on TV now.
