Who's fucking bitching you cock munch? it was a valid question. And from looking at your channel, I'd stay away from telling others to listen to more metal when you look like an emo-fag.. now let me put it in something you understand, pinche chinga tu madre.
i was 3 years old when this concert happened now that i watch it at 18 i wish i could go back in time.................and that is the type of vocals phil is going to go give and it kicks ass
I sometimes wonder how these ridiculous arguments start on YouTube comments. I enjoyed the video. Pantera were the tightest and possibly most influential metal band in history.
I saw Pantera open for a reunited Sabbath in '98 or '99 (can't really remember). Pantera came out, beat the shit out of me, then Tony Iommi healed my wounds with his riffs & KILLER sound. Dayton, OH. Phil was,...shall we say....a little out of it that night, but when he sang he put it DOWN.
hell yeah...i was there at this show...hell yeah ... great show.i remember getting nailed in the back during a massive mosh pit...great fucking time man.
Damn... I can't believe this band has never played and will never play since 2004... I would kill to have been in one of their concerts but I only started listening to Pantera this year :(
@DimebagsZombie LOL! Wow, that is so funny! How original... wow... great performance! Seriously, you're awesome. (LMAO! What an idiot! He thinks I care what he says about The REV! BAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT AN IDIOT!) Hey! The Rev was an alcoholic drug addict, with a heart problem, because he SUCKED SO BAD t drumming! That the metal GODS struck him down! Dead IDIOT.......... Yeah, I'm an A7X fan, and that was way better than yours! HAHAHA WHAT A LOSER YOU ARE!
@RGlennChicago If you are willing to respond to a simple comment on The Rev with such a long comment, you obviously care. And you said that musical taste is objective, it's subjective... jackass.
@DimebagsZombie Yes, subjective. Just because you don't like a band, doesn't mean they aren't good. Shit, I don't listen to Stevie Wonder... but he was a great musician. I was being satirical with my reply to your comment. You obviously have no idea what that means. The comment took me 30 seconds. Give it up. Would you really give a shit if someone said that "Dimebag" was a faggot, who sucked at guitar? No... same with me. Good day now.
@RGlennChicago I don't listen to Stevie Ray Vaughan, but I accept him as a damn good musician. I completely understand the idea of subjective preferences, but A7X is everything the media enforces and imposes upon others. GWAR has been around for about 25 years now and is a pretty devoted band considering they're dirt poor and they just make albums anyways. A7X is a fad. And satire isn't a complicated concept either, in fact, consider my comment on The Rev as satire.
@DimebagsZombie Considering the fact that A7X has been around since 1999, and came out with their first album in 2001. I think it's safe to say, they aren't just some fad. A lot of great bands had shorter stints than that. Everything the media imposes on us? Why? Because they had a platinum album? So did Pantera... Oh wait, but of course you'll just say that was due to how great of a band they were. I'm sick of these pretentious metal heads, who thinks everything sucks because it's popular.
@RGlennChicago Skrillex is popular and I don't mind their stuff. And you're horrible at predicting outcomes because I'll admit Pantera was a fad. Though their lyrics were anti-trend, they were. A7X is just an emo rehash of Motley Crue with little to no diversification in their vocals. Synyster Gates also can't pull a solo out of any ass he tries to. "satire"
@DimebagsZombie Emo? Wow... that's just humorous. No diversification in their vocals? LOL, Listen to Dear God, and then listen to something like Eternal Rest or Radiant Eclipse. Then try and say that. The only way I could possibly agree with that, is if it was 2005, and Shadows was still doing his nasally bull shit. As for Gates... I can understand where some people wouldn't like his solos. However, personally I love his solo's. They're very rhythmic and melodic.
@RGlennChicago "Dear God" is still nasally as most other A7X songs, his voice cracks the entire song. It's like he tries to sing but can't go away from the norm. As for "Eternal Rest", I digress; but, those points where he actually goes away from the nasal sound are few and far between. It all stems from how I was introduced to the band, a friend of mine promised a modern-day Slayer and it was disappointing to say the least. They sound like some kind of Motley Crue/Fallout Boy spawn.
@DimebagsZombie Honestly, that's just not true. You'd have to be delusional to think that. I have no problem that you dislike A7X.... at all. If you expected them to be Slayer, well... that's your friends fault. The only song I can even see sounding like Slayer, is "God Hates Us". However, there is no way anybody could listen to their last album, and think Shadows sounds nasally... that's just ridiculous. He sounds NOTHING like Motley Crue, and DEFINITELY not Fallout Boy. He did before, but...
@RGlennChicago His voice DOES crack throughout "Dear God", listen to it. One album where things are in decent order and he doesn't sound like Lois from Family Guy the whole way through doesn't say much for the band considering the title track was deja vu of "Bat Country" and all that other convoluted stuff from the other albums. Also, if anything, people should be GLAD that The Rev is dead since the album after he's gone is actually the most productive they've done.
@DimebagsZombie Honestly man, this last post just isn't even worth responding to. If you don't like Shadows voice, whatever... but you obviously have had minimal, IF ANY musical training. I don't even know where to start with your comparison between "Bat Country" and "Nightmare". FUCKING WOW. A7X fans should be glad the Rev is dead? LOL, yeah... we should all be glad someone thousands of people adored is dead, because it made the band a few extra bucks. What a fucking joke, LMAO.
@RGlennChicago Before Rev died=Avenged Sevenfold and City of Evil (total shit). After Rev died=Nightmare (What the hell? It sounds okay). He may not have had the X factor and the new guy blew him away, but his passing DID do well to inspire the band. Like Syd Barrett did for Pink Floyd, but chances are that you wouldn't know that name had I not said the band. Syd didn't really "die" when he left, but it wasn't short of. As for my musical training, I play four instruments quite well.
@DimebagsZombie Considering classic rock is my personal choice of music. I know Pink Floyd very well, and yes... it's not unfair to say Syd "died". He may as well have. As for the Nightmare album, the overwhelming majority of it was already written, and laid down. It would be cool if it was inspired by the Rev's death, but except for one or two songs, it wasn't. As for Shadows vocals, I realize he used to be nasally and hard on the ears at times. He hits every note though live nowadays.
@RGlennChicago Haven't seen them live since the Bat Country days, but I'll come to a point and say that I personally don't care for, to the slightest degree, A7X's pre-Nightmare work. That is subjective and I've known this, I pointed it out before it was subjective. In any case, when you want to split hairs and say that everything was done and the final product was posthumous and left as the current magnum opus, I suppose a better example would be Brandon Lee when he left The Crow as his mark.
@RGlennChicago Haven't seen them live since the Bat Country days, but I'll come to a point and say that I personally don't care for, to the slightest degree, A7X's pre-Nightmare work. @whiplashnote Oh look! Another moron who thinks another band sucks, because they did a cover of another band's song. Seriously... hang yourself you fucking moron. Bands cover other bands songs out of respect. It's a tribute... of course no band will ever do it like Pantera did. Even Disturbed and A7X will say that. Stop being such a close minded fuck.
Every band that has tried to cover it has pretty much failed. Avenged Sevenfold pretty much nailed the vocals but the band behind was failing miserably. Disturbed had the music pretty good but failed on vocals. Trivium overdid it and played it too fast. There's noone who can do it just as Pantera did or better
i hate how every walk video i watch i gotta see some avenged sevenfold faggot ranting on how "the singer" sucks live or the av7x version is better. pussies grow up and realize av7x is shit and pantera is the greatest band to ever walk this earth, if not WALK ON HOME BOY
is true that pantera's guitarist is dead? my friend said he was killed from a drunk guy and start shooting at people and killed a lot of people and the guitarist
@Inkaaliy He didnt really ruined it. just listen to the Down songs. His voice is Awesome on these records. I saw Down live this year on the Rock Hard Festival and they where great
i saw this show in dallas, and it remains as the best concert i have ever seen. i believe the headline in the entertainment section of the newspaper the next day read "pan-terror."
@Michaelshoesay yea a7x's version has everything except for the depth and power of the riffs and the soul-crushing non-whiny vocals. You know... the stuff that gives this song its power.
i dont like putting labels on bands but they are groove metal and grove metal is a sub genre of metal so phil is just making fun of him self,i think he is doing it for a jk and to bust your balls
These guys were the The SHIT I had the pleasure of working around them on many occasion... he motherfuckers could drink.. HOLY SHIT coors light and CROWN plenty of it
The only thing about this video i Don't like is Phil's shirt....cause I like Alternative music....like Rage Against The Machine....they're one of my favorite bands. Pantera is my favorite band though nothing beats them!
I had tickets to this show; not this show in particular, but this tour, and I got sick the day of the show. No one knows how excited I was either! Does anyone remember who was headlining?
Mentioning any rapper or pop artist in this or any Pantera video will result in 5 Minutes Alone with the Cowboys from Hell and you guys who do should Walk on Home boy

@Michaelshoesay yea a7x's version has everything except for the depth and power of the riffs and the soul-crushing non-whiny vocals. You know... the stuff that gives this song its power.

I had tickets to this show; not this show in particular, but this tour, and I got sick the day of the show. No one knows how excited I was either! Does anyone remember who was headlining?
