My husband and I are wanting to adopt, however I don't think I am going to meet the eligibility requirements, my husband is 35, and I am 22. We are US Military and we are going to be stationed at Camp Casey at the end of this year. Do they have different rules for US military families?
@teammaddison I don't think there's any special rules for US military families. But being stationed in South Korea you'd be able to talk to an orphanage locally. I'm thinking particularly of volunteering in an orphanage for a couple of months.
Talking to them and if you guys give them a chance to get to know you better, they may grant an exception for your guys for example you age difference is quite big so that might be an issue for which you'd need them to grant an exceptional right to adopt. Also, adopting faster, try to see if you connect more with one of their kids etc.. Avoid going through agency can sometimes be faster :)
