while messing around with the whammy, did you have any problems with the tuning? My corvette's tuning goes out every time I use the whamy

Because of the tension. I learned that about a month ago. On Gretsch models with the whammies, it's usually necissary to skip the bar behind the bridge. That lowers the tension, but for this model it lowers too much. Most guitars have rounded ish bodies, as in not flat. But the Corvette is flat which means if you skip the bar, the strings won't sit in the bridge right (unless the bridge is raised way too much). The trick is getting the right balance of tension. Which won't happen on this guitar.

@MotherFudger27 yea i have an ibanez s series with a floyd rose and got that balanced pretty good but the gretsch is a different story, just something you have to deal with.

Geez. I watched this to get an idea about how a CVT sounds. All I know after watching this is how your rack full of effects sounds... ...kinda sounds like doo-doo on a stick. Take another look at yer effects settings and try to find something lower than 11.

Agreed, It's pretty much bullshit how you'd advertise a guitar with a bunch of effects that have absolutely no relation to the true sound of the guitar. I was pissed off with the intro too.
