The only reason Halo 2 (in my opinion) was somewhat of a flop in the Single Player was because all the freakin fanboys wanted the game to come out straight away, it put pressure on bungie (they had a deadline) and they missed out on doing a lot of things thye should have. Recently, they have just started decorating the levels, filling out the caste lists, etc.; it will take them till the summer just to finish the development, and spend that time refining, a month or so is past, the copies manufactured and distributed, the hype, and it will probably be released in late November, probably even December. They will take as much time as possible, so don't count on it.

Besides, the singleplayer mode got short shrift compared to the multiplayer.

The stores are saying November because that is going to be the latest time for the release. If bungie finishes early then they will release it during the summer.. which would be best because no school. They cant give u a early date because if they cant release by the date then people get mad.

xbox 360...over 10million units sold, PS3 over 1.5million units sold. (35% of them resold on ebay) Sony has alot of catching up to do b4 Halo 3 launches. When Halo 3lauches it will be like re-launching the xbox 360. Expect a new record! Halo is the only franchise that can do it. Its been proven already.

Ebgames listed it as november 1st.This would be a VERY VERY wise strategy,if it is to compete with Grand Theft Auto4.Gta 4 is supposed to come out in October.This puts the fps/3rd person shooter fight to the test,as you have 2 prominent games fighting for the spot under the X-Mas tree,haunkahah present day.

Interesting and amusing, but really, how could this game be possibly released in the summer? Recently, they have just started decorating the levels, filling out the caste lists, etc.; it will take them till the summer just to finish the development, and spend that time refining, a month or so is past, the copies manufactured and distributed, the hype, and it will probably be released in late November, probably even December. They will take as much time as possible, so don't count on it.

great vid, why are people bashing consoles, i own a xbox and think it's the best console, but i enjoy playing the ps2 games (ps3 hasn't come out in Aus yet) both consoles have great games to play, and i enjoy playing on both, but there is no need to carry on about which console is better and that just because your a fan of one console doesn't mean that that any other console's game suck. so get over your self.

Why do we even fight about the consoles? Stop being fanboys and get over the fact that each system is different. Halo series is great, GOW is great, and I'm sure that some of the PS3 games are gonna be good too. If I had a choice, I would have bought both because they are both good.

Halo 2 was pushed back because the development team was partly replaced and the Halo 2 we got was a major disappointment in comparison to the Halo 2 that was originally promoted.
Besides, the singleplayer mode got short shrift compared to the multiplayer.

The stores are saying November because that is going to be the latest time for the release. If bungie finishes early then they will release it during the summer.. which would be best because no school. They cant give u a early date because if they cant release by the date then people get mad.

The only reason why everyone thinks gears of war is better then halo is because they suck at halo. If u were good at halo u would still be playing. Also gear is popular because is "New" everybody play halo2 when it first came out and now eveyone is playing gears because it just came out. Halo3 will be game of the year when it comes out.

Dude, I have quite an excellent winning spree on halo2, over Live. Alright, Honestly I think GOW is better than halo 2 as of now, i mean think about it. Yea, as a really big Halo fan, GOW is better currently than Halo 2. While it did take 2 years for halo 2 to get boring, it STILL got boring. Halo 3 will just take the trophy this fall. I like having other games in my library other than halo

GOW is the best shooter out right now. Its the 1st REAL next gen shooter. H3 Im sure will be the best shooter WHEN it comes out but they're not even beta testing it untill mid spring so we'll be lucky to see H3 anytime before fall. I think we'll all be enjoying GOW for the next 8/9 months untill the new halo comes out, and by the time H3 finally does drop, GOW2 will be well under developement.Cliff Bleszinski The lead game designer of GOW is talking he wants a trilogy.
