So cool to see Phil Collins playing the drums, without having to tape the stick to his hand... Looked like an exciting experience for all artists involved. Would have loved to have been there.
@JaredSparks98 Your reply indicates you're probably here for the wrong reason. The "awesome" isn't about the most certainly second-class performance of a rock classic but about the fact that a severely injured drummer and singer is visibly recovering and able to play simple drum patterns again.
@saffi01 I didn't realize this was after he was injured I think that is awesome he is playing again. I really just thought that the singers were awful music awesome, but singers horrible
@JaredSparks98 The performance occured in November 2010 about 6 months after the recording of Going Back. Phil played after the new Mike & The Mechanics lineup and sang Heatwave, You Can't Hurry Love and My Girl before returning for this song and playing the drums. You're right regarding the singers though ;)
@nordhorny Roger Taylor of course played the drums here as well, however he never stopped drumming while Phil Collins is obviously recovering from his long-term issues, so I found that worth pointing out. Thanks for your comment though, of course you're right ;)
