  • Padre = Father

    Papá = Dad

Papaíto (spaniard) / papacito (latin american) = Daddy

    Madre = Mother

  • gracias! sienor! excelente!

  • this is such a great way to prepare for my oral exam, thankyou!

  • supongo que esto será español de América, porque en el de España se dice "teneis" y NO "tienen". ("tienen" es algo demasiado formal).

    :)

  • Depende del dialecto, amigo. Algunos paises dicen "tenéis" otros dicen "tienen". Los dos son iguales de correctos.

  • lo que yo dije no fue que fuera incorrecto, simplemente aporté la vision española del tema...

  • Okay, mala mía.

  • mala mía?¿? ¬¬ jaja

  • Puertorriqueño para "estuve en error." :P

  • Thank you so very much, it sure helped me alot and I feel more confident sitting my spanish exams now.

  • Wowsers! Thanks so much for posting these, and its FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. A big help with Spanish I in college!

  • Gracias! I find these very helpful as a beginner. How did YOU become so fluent in Spanish?? - I want to do that!

    I appreciate the lessons.

  • You speak like a native speaker. Good lessons. Thanks.

  • YOu don't say Tienen animales. In spanish we use Mascota.. Like a Mascot for a pet.

  • tienen animales is just more generic. try to remember that you only speak one dialect of Spanish, my friend. Of course tienes/n mascotas is correct, but not everyone says that. And 'buenas tardes' is correct after noon in most dialects. I have often seen very well educated native speakers say buenos dias at, say, 12:30, check their watches and say, eh... buenas tardes :)

  • Hello languagenow. Yes, "animales" is more generic, but when you mean the "animals" that you can own as a "pets" you should use "Mascota". Well.. resumed if it's easy I'll try to show you the literally translation.

    Animals(English) = Animales(Spanish)

    Pets(English) = Mascotas(Spanish)

That happens in spanish. But for example in a dialect like Valencian(One of my mother languages) it's totally correct to say Animals or "Mascotes" (don't take it as Spanish)

    Greetings from Spain.

  • I am glad you find the videos helpful! It's nice to be able to rewind, huh? :) Keep watching!

  • i learn a bit more spanish all the time, and this helped me a lot! id like to learn fluently but i havent dedicated myself to it yet. ive always been great with words and language in general, i think i could catch on quick.

  • i loved this lesson!!! finally i think i can speak with my family in law. hihihihi

  • You are a great professor. I enjoy your lessons. I hope you will continue to offer a new one on daily basis, if not more.

    Mucho gracias!

  • Gracias.. it was very usefull for me!

  • Dear Sir,

God bless you for your greate favor with hard effort

  • Could you do a lesson on verb conjugations?

    These are great!

  • hey now... I never complain about your bein' a wannabe boxer, gwaping, now do I? Let's keep it civil. I provide these classes for beginners, and most of them like them--just read the other comments :) peace out flyweight

  • Wow, what a jerk!

    Lol, flyweight, nice.

The hardest thing for me right now is adapting to different dialects, where even proper rules can be considered incorrect. It is perhaps even more challenging than learning the formal way of a language without slang!

    Thanks for the vids btw.

  • gwaping23: you need a girlfriend

  • fuck u tlkin bout it can't get any easy than, u r just a slow learner, so stop tlkin shit to the guy

  • lol he got you bad.

Btw, you're a douche, way to insult him for trying to help people out of charity.

You're the almost the only one out of all his comments that complain and you're not even a native speaker, you're just some wannabe who is having trouble with English apparently.

I also find it funny how I speak better English than you even though I am not a native speaker.

  • I'm myself a spaniard and belive me, he has an excellent pronunciation.

  • Probablemente uno de los mejores videos para aprender español. Probably one of the best videos to learn spanish. (Yah, Im from spain)
