Im suprised nobody has said yet but Ive seen tv program on "the gulf stream" a while ago and it said the alaskan volcano is a major threat to the gulf streams contined flow.
Basically it said if the volcano was to erupt and melt the glacier then bil1ions of gallons of cold water would run its natural flow into the ocean and disrupt the flow of the warm and cold water mixes that happen within the flow.

i was in iceland at the time, we got there the day before:) i heard the volcano hadn't erupted for 300 years it was incredible we were there. We planned to go up to the glacier on the thursday. We got one of the 2 flights back to the uk, we were so lucky. it was the perfect geography trip

Im suprised nobody has said yet but Ive seen tv program on "the gulf stream" a while ago and it said the alaskan volcano is a major threat to the gulf streams contined flow.
Basically it said if the volcano was to erupt and melt the glacier then bil1ions of gallons of cold water would run its natural flow into the ocean and disrupt the flow of the warm and cold water mixes that happen within the flow.
In this vid the volcano is erupting on top of that uk air space is closed. Anyone see 2012?

i was in iceland at the time, we got there the day before:) i heard the volcano hadn't erupted for 300 years it was incredible we were there. We planned to go up to the glacier on the thursday. We got one of the 2 flights back to the uk, we were so lucky. it was the perfect geography trip

@idwiw6057 It's not the smoke that's the problem, but the ash, it doesn't take a huge amount for it to screw with engines. Also breathing it in too much will shred your lungs. The volcano keeps pumping that crap out and the wind spreads it.

It's a volcano eruption, not a religious event.
Why is it that everyone keep making noices about world ending? Is this really a hard equation to put together; 7 billion people, not enough resources, level of consuming reaching new heights. Statistically it's a surprise if we don't torch humanity in the next 10 years. Making it past two centuries is next to an impossible. It makes zero difference if you accept it or not.
This is relaxing, not scary.
