That video sucked so hard... Thats not a big battle, its a small brawl..

Definately not gonna buy the game when the battle part is so disappointing..

Gonna stick with Settlers 5, at least you could get a decent amount of troops and number 6 was just plain awful...

I could care less if how big the armies are im just glad to finnaly see a game where Diplomacy and militaristic action are taken on the map map it gives you the feel of acctually running a kingdom

Is this really a big army in Settlers7? I was going to get this, but looks like they downsized what a 'big' army is considered to be.

I remember back in Settlers 4 when I'd regularly maintain armies of 1000+. Anyone else remember that?

@smoshrules459 There just aint enough resources to make so many troops, or it would take ages if you used trading, because first you would have to collet the resources to sell, then ship them and then is also the time to make the troops. Besides that you would have to have an insane amount of houses, to produce enough people. You need stone, which is limited and again, you would have to use merchants. Would probably bore you out.

Probably a bottleneck of your CPU. On my older computer I had an Core Duo E4600 I believe and the graphics card was bottlenecked.

Well the game is RTS if you mean by that Real Time Strategy. The isnt mostly about armies and fighting. Its about building up your kingdom, upgrading it etc. In AoE there are constant battles, but here battles only happen when you invade a village or a town. The soldiers live in towns and only get out, when they need to defend, attack or jsut move from village to village to achieve tactical defence.

I'm looking for a good RTS, just heard about Settlers 7 but I don't see much going on in this game. It's nothing like I've seen before. I'm looking for something like AOE or Stronghold.

@andresovela it is really hard if you aren't good at rts but it is fun its like anno 1404 but even harder i had before but then i got a virus and had to erase all data from my computer but it is fun and hard

@4nubiS You should try Stronghold. It's an old game but it's really entertaining, I definitely recommend Stronghold over AOE, AOE2 or AOM. But look for the original Stronghold because Stronghold 2 and Stronghold Legends are so complicated to play. There's also Stronghold Crusader which is a skirmish-based RTS, I haven't played it but I've heard so many good reviews about it I have no doubt it's also a great game.
