@conphuse: I don't know if Andrew Meyer knew it was within his right to resist or not, but that being said, who or how is one to even judge if it is wrongful or not. Considering what had actually happened that day, I don't think Andrew Meyer would've been within his rights to kill an police officer, and if he did, I'm sure the other officers there wouldn't have been as accommodating when they took him back to their precinct.

Actually, Thycid said it already. He was tazed for resisting arrest. If you watch the original video, he was actually complying with them when they flipped him onto his back, but then he decides to change his mind, and begins resisting the handcuffs being put on him. Now whether or not the police had grounds for arresting him is another situation in of itself, but last time I checked, resisting arrest is an offense.
