I am not exactly sure because when I completely restored my iPhone I was still able to use the feature without reinstalling the mobileconfig. Is there any reason you need to delete it? If you really need to I can research how to do it.
hey, thanks for replying... I figured out the problem... I hadn't noticed that apple device's services had been disabled on my comp. I turned it on and it tethers like silk :)
I have a jailbroken iphone 3g running on 3.0. I followed all the instructions and my Windows Xp install the apple ethernet drivers but shows a network cable unplugged even when the tethering option is turned on.
Can you please tell me if tethering is possible on jailbroken phones or if I am doing something wrong.
Yes it is possible, I just jailbroke my iPhone 3G S to see if the tethering would still work. Which it did. The only thing I suggest is reinstalling the mobileconfig then turn on the tethering option before you plug it in to your computer. Make sure you have latest iTunes on the computer you want your iPhone to tether with.
oh Thank you for pointing that out! we had no idea.
No his iPhone isn't jailbroken. He's got the 3G S and I dont think there is a hack for it yet. If there is one, im sure he would love to know about it
NICE VID!
