Most American bells are hung from a curved "balanced yoke," which is supposed to reduce strain on the supporting structure but also makes the bells ring slower. On an American yoke, this bell would probably peal at a little over half the rate of this French yoke.
I think Verdin used these bells as their sample for older digital bell systems (mid 1980s-c.1998), that may be why the bell sounds familiar to the other poster.
