  • walking the line with shadow shots is also pretty good cardio and really helps with your step. and you want your hands to be hip width apart.

  • you didnt mention the most imporaant think gon bounch shots

keep your stick low and your boyd high,

  • your videos are ok but not that great for example in this guys stance his hands are way to far in.

  • @mikechristopher61 actually having your hands closer together allows you to move quicker to off hip and off stick side. IT really helps, but it is all preference.

  • This video is great, I have started to practice this drill and my technique has improved immensely. Thanks a lot. All the videos are helpful, would you consider doing a video working on for instance low to high shots, or crazy bounces, or something similar ?

  • I can try to do one. The key with low to hich shots is staying in your normal ready position when the shooters stick is low. Do not go low with the stick because the shot will go over your shoulder.

  • oh yeah and i was thinking that you guys should do a basic clears video but its just a suggestion

  • What would you want in that video?

  • just a simple little like what outlets and who to pass to and when to carry the ball up further that kind of stuff

  • my coach also calls this walking the line so pretty much you find a yard line on the field and walk up and down it doing this it also helps practice returning to middle of the cage

  • Yes, I have heard it called that as well. My college coach would make us "walk the line" all the way around the lacrosse field.

  • why the shuffle step on all saves other than the 5 hole? It is wasted movement when tracking the ball.

  • It is an adjustment step so that you end back in the ready position.

  • this drill has really helped alot and if you have any other goaltending drills it would be very helpful

  • i don't get #3 if the ball is that low shouldnt you go from the bottom in the swing motion?

  • Swinging motion is not the most efficient. Top hand should be a straight line movement with a flip of the wrist to keep the head of the stick facing the shooter.

  • great viedo

  • I think they're called neural pathways, right? Where once you repeat a motion over and over your brain creates shortcuts to the motion, cutting down on reaction time.

  • That sounds a lot better than what I put in the video!
