size depends on species , get them by a known animal seller because they can cary selmonela (sorry about spelling) oh and get there shots if the sell says they need them. few last things try to make the tank only water with as little sand as you can give and when it comes to food give them little or it can smell like crap, and wash hands after handling them.

Nope turtles need the salmonella bacteria in their digestive systems I believe. You can not give them shots to take it away. As long as proper filtration and care is provided then salmonella should never be an issue.

Well, In My Case... The Feed will just soak in water and the turtle will eat it fine. But it Could be sick, one of my turtles died... it didn't eat, didnt move, I tear up a bit that morning T_T

im not really sure what caused his death =/. during the last 2 weeks he was just laying on the dock with his head out, it was pretty sad... I think it might have had something to do with the water as the only water I have available is regular tap water, pretty sure that you have to condition the water in some way before putting in the tank.

Turtles need to bask (not all but those do) with UV light if lack of that or water PH is to soft they can get soft shell and die. This might not be your case but those 2 reasons will cause soft shell .
