People dont seem to understand what its like to be a ward of the state, because most people never were one.

when you go to prison, you are a ward of the state, remanded to the care, and CUSTODY of the warden.

the same exact kind of custody that a parent, or a legal guardian has of a child,

or the same kind of custody that a Conservator has of a severely autistic person.
