Oh man. I had open heart surgery at 6 months old. I was missing my pulmonary valve (the only valve you can live without,) and my blood was mixing together. Still after the surgery, I am still missing my P valve. Missing it makes my heart work harder. But the good news is, is that it gets me out of running miles in PE since I have to work harder! :D

One of the arteries that carries blood to the heart muscle was becoming blocked. This can cause a heart attack if the muscle is deprived of oxygen and dies .He used a vein harvested from another part of the patient's body to bypass the blockage.
