Herb Alpert Lani Hall "Anything Goes" EPK

A question for the fans: was ever Alpert this good? Or is it just my scarce knowledge of his output - just a dizaine of 60's numbers - that makes me say it?

I've heard that Herb Alpert got Grammy Nomination for Besame Mucho Category 9 - Best Pop Instrumental Performance - Besame Mucho - from Anything Goes CD. Well deserved!

He toured in MAryland once and I was fortunate to see him and the Tijuana Brass reunion tour thing. I'd still love to meet him in person once. His music affected my entire musical family.

Wish they would tour Canada.....I remember Lani as far back as the 80's and Herb...what can be said about Herb...the man is the master of the trumpet. :)

Someone once defined Music as "Sounds Transformed Into Love"....Who better to carry this out, than Mr. Herb Alpert, and his lovely and gracious wife, Ms. Lani Hall (Alpert)? This is a "must see" concert, and I urge everyone who reads this to buy tickets and purchase the CD on Concord Jazz label. "Anything Goes" is the title. The songs they will interpret have been "marinating" for decades in their minds, and souls, it shall be nothing less than "Wine For The Gods" !

!wow! anything about lani and herb is great. this new cd is worth the wait. and if any tour is in the offing that would be the greatest. lani and herb are talents that have been harmonious in their life, love and craft.

Hot Tip, I just saw them 2 nights in a row at Vibrato, April 1&2 '09, and now they are going on tour. Not to be missed. They are a rare talent together and very pleasing.

Herb Alpert.. a true musician, a trumpet giant... Lani Hall has one of the best "cool" voices around, and their music has been heard all over the world, so from the Highlands of Scotland I say...Thank you!
