yeah I'd go with a castle creations mamba max pro ESC with a good 16 castle motor at around the 4000 to 5000kv range with 2 9.9 LiFe batteries the advantages are so much better! love the video by the way!

hey guys im doing resurch on the 1/16 mini revo and i came acrossed something i need a second oppinion

k do you guys think i should get a 1. 3S 11.1v 1800mah liop batery (lithium polymer) X1 to make it skimm acrossed water like the video above "or"

2. should i get a 2x 3S 9.9 1050mah LiFe baterys ( lithium ion) these last bout 4x longer then liops and arnt as delecat as lipos are so they can take a beating like nimh's can. whats ur choices?

lipos have a "C" rating, paralleling help the C rating and voltage under load because the load is split between 2 packs

if what Ubojica6661 said is true bout the lipos being like a running handgranade well then thats where a hard case and some plastic dip ur rubber tape comes in handy for the seal line and wire electronics and im asumming that everything else is waterproof ( and thats just a wild guess) then ur good to go water running

Did you know that LIPO batteryes in that car are verry exploding in contact with watter? 1g of Lytnium polymer in watter is same as a handgranate. Even if they say that this car can go thru watter don't do it with LIPO batteryes.

hey guys i was thinking bout custominizing a brushless car that can drive on water not just skim acrost it but drive my design

1 would be a brushless motor for each of the wheels plenty of power

2. 2 electronic speed controllers (for each of the 2 front and back brushless moters) 3. some sort of waterproofing system 4. some sort of flotation device

5. a special se tof custom made water tires but instead of turning the tires agianst the water reverse it with little paddles on that.

Nice. I discovered its possible to hydroplane my rustler easily with 3.5t brushles on 2 cell lipo. I hydroplane without inserts and holes in the midle of the tyres so the car wont vibrate too much. Im gona try to shoot a video off it this year.

For a heavy truck like the E-revo in this video, 4wd defiantly helps. But, it is possible to do this with 2wd - see the video titled "RC CAR SKIPPING WATER".
