so wait a sec, I played the beginning of soul calibur 3 and watched the intro but never got to finish the game cuz it broke so i need things to be cleared up for me. didn't siegfried destroy the sword so he would become nightmare, so why is there another nightmare in the game that looks EXACTLY like the one here, or was that another person (only got to play as klink before game broke)

What happened for that intro was that Siegfried was temporarly released from the sword long enough to destroy it with Soul Calibur, and thus was completely free from being Nightmare, but the evil of Soul Edge continued to linger in the armor that belonged to Nightmare (and also lingered in the shards the broken blade, as per usual for the series) and a person by the name of Zalsemel (sp?) found the armor and allowed it to become animated. B4 that Sieg=n.mare

But, for those who followed this series in the beginning which is by playing Soul Blade/Edge until Calibur 1, we knew that Legends never happened. It's just a fable taking place to please Sieg fanboys and fangirls if you know what I mean. Sieg turned on and off and again.... I don't think so.

Thus, SB to SC, not through Legends, is canon. EOS.

I knew from the start Namco was sugarcoating that plotline just to make money on people who didn't prefer to play fighting games, but action-rpgs. All we know for sure is that what happened to him in this game, he will break free from it for the first time, after Kilik, Xianghua and Maxi defeated him while still being Nightmare.
