  • that ride cymbal is pretty black. it must like fried chicken

    :D

  • I like the way it looks, sounds cool too. I like infusing pieces that are more meant for different genres into metal drumming, makes it more interesting. might need to look into this one more.

  • it looks crap but it sounds lush

  • Wow! didn't Know you could "RIDE" with a Spartan Sheild

  • @Necroborgie I didn't know anyone could sound as stupid as you.

  • @BubbleRapOwns Oh I know one, YOUR MOM! when she moaned and gave birth to you.

  • your moms loose

  • should be played with a nylon tip in my opinion. gives it a different impact sound on the dark cymbals that i really like.

  • Lol @ the wingnut coming undone

  • @mastercool59 Righty tighty lefty loosy.

  • Ahh! Who turned out the lights?!

  • this is ride that can be similar to any BOSPHORUS ones.. great dark sound.. like some turk versions of cymbals

  • where can i buy this ride?

  • Seems like I'd love a black metal set for jazz/funk/fusion music next to a DH set for rock/metal :-)

  • Holy crap that sounds awesome! I want one.

  • does someone knows where i can find one?

  • Well. I have one of these and it cost me £200.

And I think it's brilliant. Best ride I've ever had.

I also have the stagg black metal 16" crash which is also very good.

  • @KillaSamos cheers for the offer but i went and got a crash anways, the 18". sounds awesome. but thanks anyway :)

  • @jamesroydavies Ah It's ok. Anytime I guess your comment was like 7 months ago or something :)

I'm planning on getting an 18" aswell. They have a really nice sound :)

    And very unique.

  • wow!

    bad ass ride!!

i bet it will sound great for heavy metal!

    and i bet its heavy!

  • this thing sounds like shit !

  • if i put one of those sizzler things on it i would love it i think. i hate my b8 ride. to bright.

  • that sounds good for jazz :D

  • Stagg makes a DH 28' ride

    it sounds amazing

  • Are you kidding me? It sounds terrible. The bell sounds like a metal pipe. And if that's not enough, it's 720 fricking bucks.

  • nope it costs about 200 fucking bucks

  • You're obviously making shit up. I just looked on 3 different websites and they all had it between 700-800 bucks. Just google it and stop being a dumbass.

  • its 200 dumbass

  • ...

  • ...

  • Crap! exploding pimp, throfte290 and mangie222... You three sound like a bunch of idiots! You've all obviously seen it somewhere for a certain price, so why do you argue with each other like it is a universal fact when it is just based on personal experience?

  • No, the're dumbasses. I checked on atleat 5 different websites now, and there's nothing for less than 700 bucks for a Stagg DH 28' ride. It's not a universal fact, but it's atleast 90% true. Find me a legit website that sells it for 200 bucks, and Ill shut up.

  • Really dont like the sounds of that eww

  • Dark rides aint my kind of thing but that's a fantastic dark ride! It could rival most of the higher end dark/dry rides. I would have one as an effects cymbal or an extra ride. Great stuff!!!

  • Thats a brilliant dark sound, but wouldnt be very ideal as a main ride.

  • woah! DARK!

  • i wish it was darker in colour

  • has anyone heard the black metal 18" crash??? and if so what do you think of it? just that by description it seems to be what i want out of a crash just you can't tell till you hear it so any help anyone please???

  • same i wanna hear one!

  • @jamesroydavies I have the 16" crash and they are very good. If you want I'll record a short video of how it sounds?

  • 0:24 Double penetration :)

  • I must agree with several of the posters here that this cymbal would make a nice dry jazz ride. I will not be buying this for my large drumkit, but might just get it for my little four piece setup.

    Peace

    ADT

  • agreed

  • I believe that this particular cymbal would sound better for jazz than any other genre, but that's just me xD

  • I agree

  • do you use cymbal cleaner on black metal

    ?

  • I like Stagg's SH crashes and hats but not any of their other cymbals...

  • Looks cool, but doesn't really sound very good.

  • la verdad malisimo

  • crap total crap

  • Wow this sounds like shit

  • I personally think this sounds like a baking tin.

  • I really love the sound until you hit the bell. I love a good dry ride

  • I like this ride a lot, sounds very jazzy

  • nice wrist work

  • how much?

  • sounds like my 15 years old ride. the brightness a ride should have is missing and it sounds more like a mix of a china and a cheap pice of sheet metal. I don't know .. is this really black metal?

  • First of all, it is Stagg. Other characteristics go from that.

  • stagg cymbals are other than staggs other gear, the cymbals are AMAZING!

  • ehhhh isnt that a china ohhhh wait its a chinaride

  • i miss the PING!

  • They are called "black metal" because they are dark instead of brilliant, not because their destiny is to be played by black metal drummers, and by the way, they don´t look nor sound like crap, is just a different sound, more oriented to jazz or acoustic performances. Have a nice day you all, be more open minded about sounds and musical genres, that will definitely make you better musicians.

  • I was gonna say this cymbal isnt bad, just different, thoght it does sound better in real life. Its a very dry and dark sound, lik u said, suited 4 jazz

  • @javierlocutor well i agree with most of that, the black metal bell does work great with black metal

  • @javierlocutor You do know the black metal thing is a joke right?

  • @javierlocutor in the real life sound like that?

  • @Valaraukar I dont know, I dont own one and i would not mind having one, hehe, that depends on the quality of the camera microphone, however, nothing beats the real deal, playing it by yourself, but this video seems to have nice sound quality, so we all can have a very objective idea of this baby´s true sound.

As I said before, is just a matter of what sound fits best to the style you play and your tastes in sound, some may like it and some may hate it, everyone is free to choose =)

  • it sounds better as a crash

  • actually people who would play black metal would want much more ping :P

  • its black metal for the color of the metal. lol

  • actually na. a lot of black metal drummers use very trashy cymbals.

  • its awsome for jazz i bet

  • Sure it is, I tought the same thing.

  • sounds delicious xD

  • Whoah! Sounds epic

  • the sound beats the look

  • I play a 20" Black Metal Rock Ride.

  • Awesome I have the black metal splash

  • a little too pangy for me

  • kailan kya mgkakaron ng stock ng Black Metal n ice bell s TMS mr JPGOAT ??

  • chong meron ng black metal sa music source...check mo :)

  • whoah ghetto ride but good sound

  • why have i never heard of these?

    where can i find em?

  • GAK*CO*UK

  • is that a site?

    i tried. didnt work

    o.O

  • yeah its a site

  • i have this! and the set
